gutted.......bang goes LFC status as a top team. we are now officially an also ran. spurs well deserved over the season. strong enough to maybe nick 3rd too. they'll be even stronger next year......city will spunk another 100 mill and be even stronger and we'll end up like villa and everton ( the teams that want to crack the top 4 )

Lets see how they do when competing in the Champs league... trying to finish 4th and win a trophy at the same time....hopefully the same level of expectation will be placed on them and their manager now eh...but don't hold your breath.

another reason i think we're ****ed.

spurs are in a win / win situation. CL football to attract big names......40 mill extra money generated for the club.....no pressure to actually win league or CL next year - just to do well......a good core of young players and home grown as well.....thwy'll thrive on that situation.

city are the team we have to compete with now and with them spending big anyway im fearful for next year.

No way will Spurs get an extra £40mill from it. Utd earnt that by making the final last year, and there's no way Spurs will get anywhere near close to the final.

I do agree that it will benefit them. They'll probably make the group stages and might just qualify from that if the draw goes in their favour. It'll be interesting to see who they sign this summer.

Spurs are 20/1 to win it, if that interests anyone.

If Spurs do not get past the qualifiers I think they only end up with £2m. Hardly a Kings ransom and I would LMFAO if they slip up in the qualifiers.

Spurs are financially secure as well and will probably get their new ground built before ours.

Spurs were superb last night and Harry Redknapp played a blinder. To go to Man City (who have an incredible home record), in such a crucial game, and to play such an attacking line-up was a breath of fresh air. Even the subs he made were forward thinking - Attacker for an Attacker, RW for a RW, and CM for a CM.

In an away game like that, we would have played an ultra defensive 4-5-1 and would have probably ended up playind 6-4-0

I understand the idea last night's result means there will now be 5 teams better placed to compete with us but I think Spurs getting 4th strengthens them less than it weakens Man City. So overall it's better for us.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

To be honest none of this matters unless we get our own house in order, that IMO is the main problem
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

spurs winning was a great bonus and yes they may attract better names, but also if they get past the qualifying round they will have an extra distraction although dont think there gung ho approach will do well in europe.
