I would be annoyed if we had to use any of the players from WC to get though 1st qualifying!

We'd be playing friendlies then anyway. I agree it's not ideal but at the same time I think it's far from a massive concern. I think it is almost always a bad idea to play a very weakened side but I think in this case a balance towards getting a few players experience is probably as good an alternative as any, if they are close to being given a chance they should get one in this game I'd say.

Your probably right. I just couldn't handle the stick if we were to go out that early

Are you sure birdman, I thought he hurt his ankle in the CL and has been passed fit recently, had no idea about an op on his knee.

Are you sure birdman, I thought he hurt his ankle in the CL and has been passed fit recently, had no idea about an op on his knee.

99% sure, did the ankle against Lyon, came back for a couple of games then he did his knee in training, same thing as Torres.

Real shame as I believe he'll become an excellent player for us and it would have benifited him no end to have featured in another 10 or so games this season
