Why change it? I'd still like a manager who represents the attitudes i feel are required to succeed in the PL.Originally posted by SB View PostSo are you going to change your sig Craig?

So you dont think Rafa will do that? I thought I detected a change in your stance on Rafa which is why I asked the question.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWhy change it? I'd still like a manager who represents the attitudes i feel are required to succeed in the PL.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

No i dont think he will.Originally posted by SB View PostSo you dont think Rafa will do that? I thought I detected a change in your stance on Rafa which is why I asked the question.
Out of 6 seasons in charge, he spend 3 months adopting the mentality which (IMO) is required to succeed at the top end of the PL.
If he was going to do it (permanently), he'd have done it by now. Even towards the end of this season just gone, when we were staring down the barrel of 7th place, he still had us playing slow tempo, rigid, dire, cautious football. If the prospect of finishing a disgraceful 7th didnt change his philosophies, nothing will.

i'm torn.....
part of me thinks he should go - i have been frustrated with him for a while, i think he has made some major mistakes and i do feel that another manager (who i don't know which i'll get to in a minute) with the same squad would have got 4th this season. I also feel that a fresh manager could revitalise the current squad and kick start us next season. On top of that, one of the the things i want to see next year, with our lack of depth in the squad, is the main key players focused solely on the 38 league games to give us the best chance of getting back in the top 4 - with the cup and europa games being used for squad and youth. - Sadly though i know thats not how rafa works and i'm fully expecting him if he is still here to play the best XI in a ****ty europa game on a thursday, then come the sunday in the league the same players look jaded and we draw 0-0 at home to blackpool
Thats my arguements for rafa going, but on the other hand
I really the guy, i feel he has took so much **** and most of it undeserved fromt the owners and the press, plus other managers that i would love him to succeed and stick two fingers up at them....plus I also fear, that if he was to go, with our current owners still here, then things could go even worse. Rafa will fight these owners tooth and nail.......if he left, i am convinced they would bring in a yes man which would be disastrious.
I'm thinking - if he got new decent owners then i would like to see a new manager and have a total fresh start.
If the owners stay, i'm scared of what would happen if rafa lefti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Regardless of whether Rafa has failed in his duty or not there's no escaping the fact that he has a ready made excuse (which may or may not be legitimate) for when he leaves/gets sacked.
I would love to see him have a few seasons with which to judge him purely on his results, none of this bull**** political maneuvering that has become such a day to day part of Liverpool.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
