    Expectations for next season

I know but it's going to be a long hot crazy summer with all the rumours and WC.

This will be based on no new buyers. [existing owners]
    Rafa staying.
Gerrard and Torres staying. [maybe only until Jan]
£15 Mill to spend, without having to sell..

Chelsea may lose a couple of players via Mourinho.

United don't seem to have the spending power they once had.

Wenger may be in his last season, unless he brings a decent campaign.

Spurs may well have peaked too early but knowing Harry's shrewdness there may be a surprise..

If Man City spend then we could be in trouble but as they didn't qualify for CL then it appears they may struggle to attract.

Personally, we should still be looking for that top three finish.

We have Jonjo and Jovanovic with Wilson possibly on the way.

    Reasons to be cheerful?

Dunno about expectation, but we need to be targetting a return to the top four.

Not many reasons, but some. 4th will do me.

Not even thinking about it until the World Cup's over, can't be arsed with it. Need a break.

HAS to be 4th, if Rafa is worth his salary.

Any **** can spend money to get up the league.

Remember when Rafa won a Champons League with Djimi Traore?

I think we'll make the Top 4 & win the FA Cup. I don't know why (& I'm not going to try to explain or defend myself on this one), it's just a feeling really.

We should be aiming for top 4, I'd like us to do better but, to expect anything more under the current ownership situation is unrealistic IMO.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm not sure about the increasing budgets bit that's quite unlikely IMO, 675k net spend seems about right though

Snap. In fact, so exhausted by LFC's troubles that I am not even enthusiastic about the World Cup at the moment. For a year now football has been the source of much pain and little pleasure. I keep telling myself it is just a sport but ....

As much as I'm looking forward to it, I can't stop thinking about the comings and goings at the club..

                          Almost too much..

I'm actually thinking whether it's good if Torres has a decent WC or if Rooney has a mare..
