To say we need 5 top signings to break back into the top 4 is wrong in my opinion. 2 first team players and 3 for the squad and that would be a healthy summer.
Break back into the top 4 ? Really, you think fans will be happy with that, come the start of the season most will have exactly the same expectations as always, with a 'we are Liverpool...we are better...we should be challenging for the title' attitude.

To be fair mate, if fans expect us to be winning the league next season, then I'd call them deluded. How do you think we'd achieve that?

Yes. Well based on what I've read on this forum, as well as on others, the majority seem to accept that given the rise of Spurs and Man City, we certainly can't take 4th for granted.

If we were to break into the top 4 would have to be seen as a success. Especially bearing in mind our current position and finances. Also, any new manager will have to be given time to impose his ideas.

Would you not be happy with 4th spot next season? We could then build from there the following year. Hopefully with an established manager and new owners in place.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

To me top 4 would be a huge success. Other big 3 and Spurs and City will certainly spend heavily in transfer market and with them getting more depth and quality, qualifying for CL next year would be first step in right direction.

By winning more points than the rest, thought you would have known that but then again maybe not.
