Maybe he's said something else then, but there were definitely some similar quotes last week

maybe, but no matter what, very nice to hear someone commit themselves, even in the middle of a World Cup.

Interesting how some players use the world cup as an excuse to keep discussions about their futures under wraps, while others dont seem to mind committing themselves, even during a world cup.

        Speaks volumes, no?

Yes, especially because if they went out and said it as clear as Agger, they would probably be able to focus more on the WC, because it would put a lot of the speculation to rest. Because they must know, that a lot of the LFC fans speculate together with the newspapers, so at least to tell the fans, where they stand.

            Indeed.

People have suggested that if Torres/Gerrard came out and categorically stated, with emphasis, that they arent going anywhere, it wouldnt do anything in terms of reducing or stopping the speculation. I disagree with this.

It may not stop it exactly, but it'd certainly reduce it and reduce the validity that such speculation might be perceived to have.

Reina was able to do it, Agger's done it. Why cant Torres and Gerrard? And Mascherano too, for that matter.

Because, just maybe, they're off and they dont have the balls to own up yet.

Well played Agger ... Honestly I could not care less for any player who does not want to wear the Liverpool Badge with sincere pride

                  Direct quotes.

"I have no thoughts about leaving Liverpool," he said.

"I have a four-year contract, I intend to stay and I want to stay, no matter who the manager is.

"Of course, I hope it's a manager who believes in me. I have to show what I can do, I know that. I like Liverpool as a club, I like Liverpool as a city, I have no reason to leave.

"And I think my team-mates feel the same way. Everybody knows that Liverpool is a big club, a great club. From the inside, I can tell you it's a great club."

                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                        Well done Dagger.

It's a pity our beloved captain can't do the same. It must be so hard to stop thinking about your WC dream long enough to spew out a couple of words for the fans that adore you hey? "I'm going nowhere" Gosh that sounds so hard to say doesn't it? NOT

Maybe because we are going backwards and they want to win trophies and play in the Champions League? Maybe?
                          Oh I don't know.

it's good to know - what ever happens, at a bare minimum i think we'd at least end up with half decent squad of players who want to be there. If gerrard, mascherano and torress want to go **** it....i'd be devasted, they are 3 top class players, and yes as a club we'd struggle but i'd still support liverpool, it wouldn't be the end of the world - we might not be challenging for titles until we get a billionaire owner or something drastic happens to swing the balance in our favour, but i'd still think we'd be competitive
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

More good news from Agger. He have told a danish newspaper, that he feels much better with his back after his surgery last year. That for the first time he feels much more positive and can feel his back getting better and better all the time.
