Yeah well some of us disagree.

I think we'd be much better off keeping Insua as back-up and saving the money previously earmarked for dross English full-backs in their 30s and put it towards other signings. The season starts in less than two weeks and disruption should be kept to a minimum IMO.

At the same time he wasn't being hung, drawn and quartered already mate, you know.

Some of us just think Insua is garbage and want him sold, im one of them.

Would love us to sign Figeroa and we'll still have Aurelio as an option. Sorted.

In all seriousness I'd prefer Insua stayed, but if he goes Figueroa - although I don't think he's that good - is the best of a bad bunch linked thus far to replace him.

i think figueroa would be a better option for next 2 seasons, Insua has still a lot to learn and would prefer him to learn elsewhere!

Boring game, but I guess we are now seeing where roy will be looking to play people.

Gerrard looks nailed on for CM, whilst Aquilani and Cole battle for the behind the striker role.

Gerrard will no doubt be joined in CM by one of Lucas or the new signing.

Jovanovic will be plauing on the left, I guess Babel will join him on that side and it leaves Maxi and Dirk for the RM.

i don't know about gerrard in midfield tbh, if we're going to play some sort of possesion football he needs to be more patient on the ball, and not rush with the "spectacular but row Z bound" 40 yard pass. keep it simple, and on the groud, move the ball around and try to find an opening. he seems to rush things to often and we just concede possesion.

Agree. As legendary a player Gerrard is, I think - for example - he'd be horribly out of place in the Spain or Barca teams.
