Amazingly, this is our LAST pre season game.

We have the game against FC Rabotnicki and then it's the game v Arsenal.

To think, this is Gerrard and Co's first game, whilst Torres, Pepe, Kuyt and Babel have yet to play even 1 minute.

It was great for the club to have four world cup finalists in the squad and so many involved in the world cup, but now it comes to the league starting and we may well find out that with our tough start it could be biting us in the backside.

Looking at the amount of youngsters I see in that squad excites me. We have a lot of talented youngsters who can make it. Sterling and Suso could be genuine stars. I just get the feeling that Hodgson isn't going to be reserved when it comes to giving them a chance, especially with our depleted squad. Maybe it's a blessing.
