No we are not ready. Im very worried as our first 5 games are tough. Im not confident about us getting a positive result against Arsenal. They look fitter than us, faster than us and playing better football than us.

Our senior players are nowhere near ready to take them on.

We're not ready at all. I can see us have a slow start to the season, we do it every year anyway. We have no decent strikers who are fit.

Just thinking there's so many things in the balance at the moment:

- We've only had 3 pre season games mostly light runs out and chances for the youngsters, team hasn't looked settled and has lacked continuity and rhythm.

- Lot of players back late form the World Cup.

- We've had a European game (2 games) at a very awkward time.

- Torres/Insua/Masch are all swinging at the moment.

- And now all this talk about new investment and the potential players we could bring in before the transfer window closes.

All this with our first 2 games against potential top 4 teams in Arsenal and Man City with United soon to follow.

If Spain call up Torres, I will be furious (they are playing Mexico away I think)

Looking on the bright side, I'm sure Liverpool used to tank pre-season and then going on to win the league quite regularly.

This season I really think we could do with a better pre-season, especially considering we have a new manager with new ideas and have that to implement.

The only positive thing with so few new signings is that we at that less to worry about getting ready for the team next season.
