Honestly what a difference a year makes. 12 months ago I had no hope for the reserves, only Pacheco stood out for me.

Now we have Pacheco, Susu, Ayala and Kelly all looking like real talents and along with them also Dalla Valle, Sterling and Amoo looking like they have real potential too. Plus we have more young 15/16yr olds coming through. Its all starting to look good

The likes of Brouwer, El Zhar, Plessis, Andras Simon (is he still around?) and Threlfall all need to be sold. Clear out the deadwood, the reserve and U18 squads are bursting with potential.

Agreed. When I see Brouwer playing it makes me want to throw things at him

          Don't forget Jonjo.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yep, early days but for a 16 year old Toni Silva looks worthy of adding to the 'exciting' list.

Really enjoyed this game - specially the 2nd half.

Most of the team impressed me last night but special mention to Suso - he was sensational in the 2nd half. I also thought Flanaghan, Ince, and Saric were impressive.

Thought Saric had a thankless task in the 1st half but he held the ball up really well and showed some nice skill. Suso was leaving him a bit isolated by coming so deep to get the ball, felt sorry for Saric when he was hauled off at HT - he did well.

Have to say that I thought of Rafa when watching the reserves last night. We are on the cusp of unearthing some of the most exciting players this country has seen for a long time, and for me it is down to Rafa. This is the fruition of his vision for the youth set up and we would never have got players like Suso or Silva without him. Exciting times ahead, that for sure.

I did too, and all the comments fromcertain quarters of how he'd left liverpool in it's worst state for decades...

Same here. It's a shame he won't get to see the results of his youth policy.

                              Or will he
