Have to say that I thought of Rafa when watching the reserves last night. We are on the cusp of unearthing some of the most exciting players this country has seen for a long time, and for me it is down to Rafa. This is the fruition of his vision for the youth set up and we would never have got players like Suso or Silva without him. Exciting times ahead, that for sure.

Thought the same thing - it's early days but it could be a tremendous legacy.

One thing annoyed me - the commentators were going on about how Roy is 'giving these youngsters a chance', almost as if it was a dig at Rafa. FFS! We'd' have seen these players in pre-season anyway. And Rafa bought them all!

If, a big if I know, but if some of these youngsters make it with LFC, Rafa will still get no credit from the press.

They will say the same thing..... Roy is giving them the chance Rafa denied ... blah blah blah.... so predictable.

The only thing I would say is that tit seems to me the younger players will get a little more freedom when playing under Roy. With Rafa they would have been reined right in and been tactically very disciplined, or else.

I hope Roy attends a fair share of reserve games as Rafa did.
