    Yossi's Chelsea Induction

I heard this morning on Breakfast TV that Yossi had been ade to perfor the usual induction ceremony at Chelsea by singing a song in front of all the new chelsea team mates.

    What song did Yossi chose?

    You'll Never Walk Alone.

Evidently he got about half way through before being forced to sin a different tune, so he chose a Hebrew fol song instead.

You have to admire the guys sense of humour!
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

I will always love Yossi, seems he got driven out of the club by Rafa. He was probelby one of our best players last year.

Blast em with a bit of YNWA and watch Terry cry
    *Except Michael, who died.

He wasn't, he was generally poor last year and his newspaper comments showed him to be classless imo.

Yes, but Yossi was one of the worst culprits imo.

His comments in the NOWT (I think).

In terms of the correlation between capability and level of performance output last season, Benayoun was nowhere near the worst. He scored 8 goals in 32 league appearances last season (not 32 starts).

Given how much you love stats so much, looking at those figures and calling him one of the worst culprits, is laughable.

As for his comments - maybe what he described is just the truth? I dont see what's wrong with telling people what went on. He was always a good servant for us, and just yesterday i saw him on SSN saying he wished us all the best.

            Not much classless about Yossi.

Goals are not a clear indication of performance. I thought he was poor last season.

You can be honest with out being classless, he was classless.

That CRAP! about Rafa trying to 'break' him was a bit ott, he wanted out...he went. Thanks and good bye.

And was'nt he lucky the Chavs were there for him..at the exact moment Rafa was trying to 'break' him and force him out.....i really do wonder which came first....the Chav offer...or Yossi's enforced hardship by Rafa theory. .

I'm sure you were championing the value of stats, just the other day.

But by all means move the goalposts to suit your agenda

That is correct. The clear indication of performances are the mundane statistics you bring up.

They certainly help though. Id rather someone scores 8 goals and plays ok than someone that scores 0 and plays ok.

So to me 8 goals for Yossi signals a good return for a season, were lets face it everyone apart from Pepe was dog ****

Personally i thought Yossi was dire last season. He was particularly poor against Fiorentina away, a defeat which really cost us.

Seemed like a fairly nice chap but i wasn't remotely bothered that we let him go.

                          Cole > Yossi
                          We come not to play.

I'm glad he's gone. For nearly every goal he scored or created, he gave away a stupid freekick which led directly towards a goal with stupid tackles towards the end of the game. Everton at Anfield 1st comes to mind. Crucial points sometimes dropped because of him. Yossi Benayoun, gets the ball takes 1 player on goes past the other player and falls over.

I said they have to be used in context. that is not, well done.
