Liverpool vs Northampton: Build Up and Match thread

Strangely this is the game I've been looking forward to more than any other recently, probably because I'm genuinely excited by the prospect of some of our youngsters and am keen to see them action.* Whilst our first team is rather depressing right now.

If Roy has played a weakened team in the Euro League then surely he will do so in the Carling Cup?

I think both Kelly and Pacheco will start, but after that I'm not sure how we will setup.

Probably something like Jones in goal, Kelly at RB, Soto and Agger at CB, ??? at LB. Then perhaps Amoo, Lucas, Spearing/Shelvey, Babel, and Pacheco and N'Gog.

Would love to see Suso get a run out at some point.

Maybe Jack Robinson or one of the other youngsters will start at LB but so far Roy seems keen to get the Konk game time. Not sure he trusts many of the players he inherited yet.

This should be a great opportunity for the boys and I really hope Roy gives Suso a decent run out.

TBH I would even be tempted to play Torres - he could do with a confidence boost. Make him Captain and let him lead these kids by example, hopefully scoring a few.

If we are to judge babel I would prefer to see him start up front and play Jova on the left. N'Gog off the bench IMO.
