After Torres being labeled a cheat by SAF, should Roy defend Torres in his next press conference?

I mean he should say that Torres wasn't play acting (infact he wasn't), be sarcastic saying that Nani should be given an oscar for his actions last sunday...

Mourinho, Wenger, Rafa, even Alex ferguson defend their players all the time.

IMO Roy should put all his concentration into getting service up to Torres and getting the lad back to scoring form and not playing off the pitch russian roulette with Fergie we have enough off the pitch debacles. It's easy to talk trash when your winning, not so much when your losing. Torres is not a cheat persay, he most defintely goes down bit easily sometimes and plays the game like many do, but he also gets alot of stick from defenders, so its swings and roundabouts but he isn't what i would call a cheat. Nani was a disgrace but people remember Nani's performance against us and how he tore us to bits and not his diving.

The best come back Torres can give is to start scoring goals, and the best comeback Roy can give is to start getting the team back to winning ways, enough of the off the pitch bollox, i'm sure Roy just wants to concentrate on footballing matters which at the end of the day are the ones that count so in that aspect its sometimes better to say nothing, especially being under so much pressure as is.

I saw it reported on Monday that Roy was asked about Nani's diving and declined to answer, saying he didnt want to talk about those things. The report mentioned something about him being eager not to provoke bad feeling with Ferguson but I dont know if he said that or that was the journo assuming things.

But it did leave the floor open for the Scum to have a go at Torres, I assume mainly as a way of distracting attention from questions about Nani but with the added advantage of sticking the boot in.

He was definitely done by Ferguson on this one.
