But could it actually be that, if we take off our rose tinted glasses that tell us our team is really nearly as good as Manure, the Chavs, the Arse and ****ty that it really isn't, that the players we talk up are mostly actually just not good enough (I've also included some that have now gone), players like Babel, Lucas, Kuyt, Skrtel, Kyriakos, Aurelio, Ngog (I know he has had a good start in the Europa this season and has shown some development), Riera, Insua, Benny etc.

Now these players couldn't create, couldn't attack for Rafa (bar one season) and now they can't create, can't attack for Roy (and again I am not just going by this game).

So maybe we are all wrong from our high perches up here on internet forums (as we all think we know better than any manager about tactics and players) and it isn't actually the managers that are bad, it's just the overpaid, lacking passion, won't be motivated by two well respected managers, can't motivate themselves, lacking pride, embarrassment, poor excuse of footballers can't be arsed to put the effort in, to play for the thousands of fans who pay their hard earned cash to watch their feeble attempts at playing what is a pretty simple game.
Not sure you can include Kuyt in that list?
but apart from him and an Injury prone Aurelio all the rest are turd and lots of us think that......Ok Ngog is young but he is soooo erratic world beater on occasions, awful on others.

Molby said that Babel's performance was one of the worse he has ever seen, only once he beat us man and he was just constantly losing possesion that 11m we got offered, lucky if we get 3 now. Lucas and Spearing got outplayed in the centre mid by a 4th divison team, if either cant stamp there authority on them what hope have we got.

The fringe players show no desire, what a platform that was last night and they blew it.

THink he was the only one on radio 5 they had anything good to say about, oh and Pacheco.

OH and your right, terrible thing to say, he really does seem to be as out of hs depth as people thought.

Shame. I had high hopes to be honest, but they have quickly evaporated

i dont believe roy was ever seen as anything other than a stop gap. someone to guide the club through the potential turmoil that is the next year or two.

once we're back on our feet. we get the right man in.
But will Inter let us have him back ?

Who gives a toss about the Carling Cup? ****ing embarrassing way to go out of it, but we were never going to prioritise or win it.

          Great start to Europa campaign.

We used to take the piss out of foreign clubs that would sack their manager after just half a dozen games, when they've just bought the players that they want over the summer, when a new manager won't be able to sign anyone until January, and before the current manager has had a chance to get the team playing the way he wants. I had big doubts about appointing Roy too, but it's far too early to be thinking about sacking him.

I stand by my comments in the previous thread too - if we get 10 points from 12 in the league now (as we should expect) then things will be looking a lot better and tonight will be forgotten. Drop many more points against Sunderland, Blackpool, Everton and Blackburn, and then it's fair to start to question where he's leading us and think about sacking him.
          Excellent post.

That's an appalling thing to come out with regarding Shelvey.

                he said that - brilliant.

it just gets worse - thinking about the performance - oh my word.

ryan babel for a start can **** off - the cheeky ****ing cunt is a millionaire footballer. He cant get in the team, and last night he should have been thinking, right, i'm going to play out my skin and ****ing rip these *******s apart and give the manager something to think about.

and don't get me started on the rest of the cunts who played

I'll forgive the youngters that started - wilson (out of position) Pacheco (out of position) Kelly (wasn't that bad) - the rest though, including spearing who clearly is not good enough and streets behind the younger shelvey and ngog who even though is young has played enough first team football now - should be refunding the tickets of those that went

                  couldnt sleep last night.

the performance, the result everything was just wrong. A new manager is supposed to lift players especially ones that werent getting a game but hodgsons arrival hasnt really had any sort of inspirational impact.

its just the same old **** as last season. weve lost a lot of important players over the last couple of seasons and we havent replaced them. ive no doubt that in part the malaise is down to the lack of funding but thats not the only reason.

however, i dont think that we will improve our results until the ownership thing is sorted because at the minute there is a cloud hanging over our club and its not moving.

I don't get it. In an interview where he blamed the players, he picked out Shelvey as a positive. How is that appauling?

Yesterday on the radio they mentioned how one of the fulham players had said that training was very boring under roy,it was about defending and keeping shape.and now that mark hughes has taken over its more about attack etc.
Unless roy changes his style and plays us the way liverpool of old are used to playing.we are in for a very depressing season, with an extremely pissed off torres at the end of it.

Sometimes you wonder why he was sacked.

Roy is 'a great believer of putting round pegs in round holes'.

But the media say it's all Rafa's fault

I hate almost everyone today from Mark Bright, to Radio 5 to Sly Sports and to that cuntpiss Mick Dennis of teh Hate Mail who on this morning's paper round up was eulogising Hodgson as a true gent who is sorting out the mess left at LFC blah blah blah

We're playing ****e, the players are uninspired and the type of football we're producing would shame Allardyce. It's an unholy mess.

All this "But we're Liverpool, we dont do things this way" is a huge amount of cockwash too. We stopped being Liverpool when those two Yank cunts got in, when ****nuts like Purslow got involved and when we forced out our best manager since Dalglish.

Bin Hodgson now, get Kenny in temporarily and let's move on. I couldnt give ten money's cocks if that's not the way we should do things. It needs done so just get it ****ing done
