Domestic sheep (Ovis aries) are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. Like all ruminants, sheep are members of the order Artiodactyla, the even-toed ungulates. Although the name "sheep" applies to many species, in everyday usage it almost always refers to Ovis aries. Numbering a little over 1 billion, domestic sheep are the most numerous species in their genus.Originally posted by PoolG View Postexactly, talk about sheep
Sheep are most likely descended from the wild mouflon of Europe and Asia. One of the earliest animals to be domesticated for agricultural purposes, sheep are raised for fleece, meat (lamb, hogget or mutton) and milk. A sheep's wool is the most widely used animal fiber, and is usually harvested by shearing. Ovine meat is called lamb when from younger animals and mutton when from older ones. Sheep continue to be important for wool and meat today, and are also occasionally raised for pelts, as dairy animals, or as model organisms for science.
Sheep husbandry is practised throughout the majority of the inhabited world, and has been fundamental to many civilizations. In the modern era, Australia, New Zealand, the southern and central South American nations, and the British Isles are most closely associated with sheep production.
Sheep-raising has a large lexicon of unique terms which vary considerably by region and dialect. Use of the word sheep began in Middle English as a derivation of the Old English word scēap; it is both the singular and plural name for the animal. A group of sheep is called a flock, herd or mob. Adult female sheep are referred to as ewes, intact males as rams or occasionally tups, castrated males as wethers, and younger sheep as lambs. Many other specific terms for the various life stages of sheep exist, generally related to lambing, shearing, and age.
Being a key animal in the history of farming, sheep have a deeply entrenched place in human culture, and find representation in much modern language and symbology. As livestock, sheep are most-often associated with pastoral, Arcadian imagery. Sheep figure in many mythologies—such as the Golden Fleece—and major religions, especially the Abrahamic traditions. In both ancient and modern religious ritual, sheep are used as sacrificial animals._____________________________________

Im fine with deserved criticism, last night deserves it,our abject lack of creativity in all our games so far deserves it,even Rafa deserved some of it.Originally posted by Chrono View PostI don't think it's a negative that we wont get slagged off in the media.
Problem was he got slated for everything and we all know nothing will be mentioned when Roy suffers those same failures except that its all Rafa's fault as is already being wheeled out by journo's and ex pros alike

I don't think we will get as many points as many think in the next five games.
Blackpool is the only more or less safe three point game but even that one isn't a banker the way we are playing.
Sunderland this weekend will be a very tough game. If the players don't show better attitude and Roy continue to play his negative style then I can see them winning the game.
If we lose that game then it could very well mean that we will end up in a very difficult position close to the bottom of the table. Do Roy and the players have the attitude and confidence for a relegation fight?
I can't see us finish in the top half if Roy stay. I simply can't. It will be a fight to stay in the PL with players like Reina and Torres sold and not replaced in January.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

But the reason for this is because Rafa didn't play the game. I'm not saying he should and I'm pleased he basically told the media to go **** themselves but if you take that stance you are a walking target. Roy is clearly more diplomatic and keeps a wider base of friends.Originally posted by PoolG View PostIm fine with deserved criticism, last night deserves it,our abject lack of creativity in all our games so far deserves it,even Rafa deserved some of it.

It reminds me of people who keep all sorts of company knowing they are cunts or those that have a small circle and refuse to be flexible enough to tolerate these folk. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Frenchie
I've never liked or wanted Hodgson in fact I was sin binned for badly expressing that opinion, I've also been accused of doom mongering and being a WUM around issues surrounding Woy.
But just looking at the general malaise and tone of this thread even I am quite shocked at the speed of "Woy denouncing" here and on other sites..
He was always in over his head from the get go but we are where we are, and this is from someone who was his biggest antifan.
The tone of this and other forums will eventually filter onto the terraces with people screaching obsenities in the crowd at Woy if its not already happening where right now the crowd should be more concerned about the finances and removing them as they have been the initiatve numbing canchor on the whole club.
Woy should get 4 more games then if we are still in 15th or lower he should be sacked mid October and the King together with Sammy et al given the mandate to get out of the relegation zone.
The whole media and most people on here tbh have given Woy an easy honeymoon in terms of sentiment and balance of their pieces but I have a feeling one more defeat against a mediocre team and the media will have a field day and will draw the Leeds comparisons which in themselves are self propagating leading to further lacklustre pitch performances.
Do nothing with heads in the sand and by Christmas we will be in deep doo doo..
gutted frigging gutted about what has happened.. firstly the 2 yank wanks secondly their management team who may have commercial nous know **** all about footie and finally the removal of Rafa for this old muppet.....sigh...

you might be right and if this happens the groundswell wanting Roy out will be massive.
Not many wanted him to start with.......So its not going to take a lot to turn most fans. I supported him to start with, but i am baffled at his demanour, his style and think he has bitten of more than he can chew._____________________________________
