I got no stick either, except off an Evertonian. I'm afraid I shot my bolt the night before and asked him if he'd been stung by any Bees lately. I did think 'shall I hold off and wait til we've beaten Northampton?', but I thought **** it, no matter how **** we are there's no way we'll lose to one of the worst professional football teams in the country.

That aside, nothing. And I live in Manchester. It used to be relentless. Not a ****ing sausage. I almost wish they would. I've had a sympathy text from a Spurs fan "you need new owners mate and a new manager otherwise it could be crisis time".

So he goes on the list of players who don't seem to be able to create, attack, play as part of a team. Great workhorse able to run up and down a pitch but anything else...
The player you say is unable "...to create, attack, play as part of the team..." finished as our joint second highest goalscorer last season and third highest league goalscorer the season before (scoring as many goals as Rooney did for the Mancs - 12) and provided the joint highest number of assists - 9 - that same season, three times as many assists as Alonso, interestingly. Not bad for a player who can't seemingly "create, attack, play as part of a team". But then, as the saying goes, there's none so blind as he who will not see

We are that bad fans from other teams don't get any satisfaction from taking the piss.

            We have turned into Newcastle

We beat West Brom at home 1-0 thanks to Torres. Yes, Torres has been the saviour on numerous occasions but I never remember it being as desperate as West Brom at home. Birmingham away was atrocious, Man U was appalling and last night...

              It really doesn't bode well.
City won three nil - soft goal from bad defending, free header from a corner and a penalty. But Reina had no other saves to make. Hardly a destruction, although it was a poor performance

I know a few mancs who said they were devastated when Rafa got sacked as we might actually win things now, people say a lot of ****.

And i suppose they are mancs after all, pinch of salt with whatever they say. They'll win **** all this year

Do you reply to this kind of wind up by manc fans? I've got one who's annoying me no end since Sunday. I guess the best thing to do is not to reply.
                    Are we winning?

but we offered nothing.......and while destruction is a bit OTT its the sort of performance i would have expected from a lower PL team going to a top team

"They have to do a lot of work to get themselves back into favour and I will learn an awful lot from this defeat about an awful lot of people.

"It is early doors for some of them - some are still quite young and were making their debuts - but I don't want to be drawn into making a bold statement.

"It is September. We have got this group of players until January minimum, maybe even longer.

"I am certainly not prepared to make the statement that I am going to suddenly start wielding axes.

                          ------------------------------------

We will most definitely see a few axes wielded in January, IMO Babel/Lucas/Kyriagkos are all out the door, Spearing ain't good enough either. Still don't know why people think Roy is a yes man, just because he doesn't rise to Fergie and doesn't spout **** to the press about the owners people think he's some kind of pussy.

It's because the results have been **** Dan. Cant simplify it any more than that.

It's the manner of the defeat rather than the defeat which is the worry.

IF we'd battered Northampton and just come up against an inspired goalie having the game of his life, then fair enough. Terrible result but at least we dominated them.

The sad fact is that against woeful opposition, at home, our tactics were to let the other team have the ball and come at us.
