Many people say that because players earn so much they should be immune. But I agree with you when the ownership is resolved and everyone involved starts pulling in the same direction it will inevitably improve the situation on the field.

Things should also get better when the manager and new players gel more. I thought today the team generally showed a lack of confidence and were very nervy.

By the end of November we'll all be happy with new owners and a team pushing for top 4. Certainly better to hope for that than sit in abject gloom being pessimistic.

I don't think the two instances are comparable, for the reason I've said. We all know that if Paisley was manager in these circumstances, no-one would be calling for him to go.

I really don't think it's impatience - it's complete lack of belief in the manager.

My only hope is Gerrard knows something we don't about both Hodgson and the likelihood of a radical change for the better off the pitch.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It certainly is. We live in the time of 'I want it now', in everything not just football.

Personally I don't think Kenny would of faired better because I think it is what is going on in the players heads that needs changing and that will take time

A few areas that need working on are: 'why do we feel that one goal is enough and that second goal is very hard to come by, why do we only seem to start playing with some urgency when we have gone behind and why do we let our heads go down when we go a goal behind instead of thinking we are better than this lot we can still beat them?

I like you am also pleased the King didn't get the job because I couldn't have bared seeing my hero getting lambasted on here and other forums by the instants!

I'm uneasy at the calls to sack Hodgson but I must admit I find him very, very uninspiring.
It was Fagan I think, but I think we had some games in hand at the time also

I think if we were playing well and not getting the results then we'd all be feeling a lot better. But since we have been 2nd best so often this season, people are majorly annoyed.
                Forwards.......

I actually think Kenny would have done better

He wouldnt have encouraged such negative and longball football

The players would have looked up to him they know hes a ****ing living legend

Hodgson was supposed to get the best out of players who were underperforming under Rafa

We knew tactically he wasnt in the same league as Rafa (and Kenny probably isnt either)

                  The players need inspiring

Roys tactics and personality are effecting them mentally imo

SO far the only optimistic thing i can say is another performance like that and the closer we get to the end of Roy's tenure.

I'd like to think you are right here, but just as with some fans on here who didn't seem to know too much about him I dare say there are some of the spoilt brats at our club who also don't know too much about him. Yeah they've heard of him but whether they see him as a legend as we do, that could well be another story.
