For me, in that 1 paragraph Holoway has shown more understanding of that this club is about both onn and off the pitch than Roy has in his whole time here.

So very true. Its not that hard to replace the useless players we got with far better reserve players. Wilson for Konchesky, Kelly or Darby for Johnson, Shelvey for Poulson, for the love of god play Agger instead of Skrtel, Pacheco or Eccleston for Ngog easily, hell might as well toss in Ince Amoo and Spearing. I'm sure that team would actually try to win games. And if they didnt win the other team would be battered enough to know they played Liverpool, not this castrated joke of a team we have now.Originally posted by LFCman View PostOnce the manager goes, so do most of the players. Play for the shirt or **** off. I'm sick of these overpaid Euro rejects we pick up. There is no way a local kid could do any worse then the likes of Poulson and Ngog. At least the kid would play with more heart.

I'm not sure I'd be that gung-ho regarding team selection
Remember you are asking youngsters to come into a relegation battle
Thats not a great confidence builder
Personally I'd play 4-1-3-1-1
Reina
Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio (if hes not fit I'd put in Konchesky)
Lucas holding
Kuyt, Meireles, Cole
With Gerrard playing off Torres
But to me team selection is only part of the problem
We have to start pressing the ball higher up the pitch
Look at those comments from Holloway, he clearly sees what our problem is and that is we are standing off teams and defending too deep
I am convinced if we pressed teams, results would be betterBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He isnt really. But he is more so than the current manager.Originally posted by Kronenburg1892 View PostHolloway is a great guy. I've listened to a lot of him over the last 24 months. But please, don't get any illusions he's LFC calibre. He speaks it as he sees it. He's learning the ropes, and is a refreshing fish out of water in the premiereship.
Just have a look at his start of the season quotes on new signings.
What he did over Roy, is actually form a plan against a team he had actually spent some time studying. I very much doubt that Roy know's what Pro-Zone is.

Dirk Kuyt today apologised to supporters following the home defeat to Blackpool - and issued a defiant message that Liverpool will soon be battling at the right end of the table.
The Reds suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Ian Holloway's spirited side, who snatched two Kop end goals in the first half before containing a Reds assault in the second.
Kuyt admits it was one of the most frustrating days of his Anfield career - but the Dutchman is certain he and his teammates can drag themselves up the table over the coming weeks.
He said: "It was really, really disappointing - probably one of the hardest defeats I've had to take since I've been here and we're sorry for the fans.
"The first thing we have got to do is make sure we start winning games again and then we can begin to take things from there.
"It is still early days for the manager and we have to keep working but one thing I do know is that we will come back stronger for this experience."
Kuyt has now joined up with Holland's squad for their Euro 2012 qualifiers with Moldova and Sweden and will therefore have to wait two weeks to put his words into action.
He added: "It's frustrating that we have got the international break now because we will have this result hanging over us and everyone in the dressing room wants to put it behind us as quickly as possible.
"We know this result has not helped but we just have to try and focus on the spirit we showed in the second half.
"We have got to make sure we show it in the next game."Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I do not understand why Gerrard hasnt said anything about this mess nor the board...
Hodgson fall on your sword for Christ's sake...

There have been quite a few results hanging over us recently and it always 'next game, next game...' Hodgson is an exception to that ruleOriginally posted by Alex View PostWhat ever happened to You'll never walk alone? Some of the fans in this thread are a disgrace. It wasn't the fans that started the war. Roy did that in his interviews when he told the fans to shut up because I know best etc....Originally posted by Alex View PostWhat ever happened to You'll never walk alone? I doubt that the fans would have turned on him in the same way if he had respected the fans but he didn't do that.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

Maybe if he understood what it means to respect the fans and not insult their intelligence with stupid comments that basically say 'fans know nothing', then we wouldnt turn on him like this.Originally posted by Alex View PostWhat ever happened to You'll never walk alone? Do you guys think it could maybe be a case of frustration? Saying things you dont mean in the heat of the moment? Give me a break. I don't think he is right for the club, but i certainly will not be Shouting **** OFF to him. Its disgraceful behaviour, not matter what he said or did*Except Michael, who died.

Paul Tomkins
Now Hansen blaming Liverpool's woes on Ngog, Kuyt and Kyrgiakos. Uses Gerrard again as example of one-man team. Laughable.Paul Tomkins
Hansen says it's too soon to judge any of Roy's new signings. But does lament Jovanovic, who is just as new - except signed by Rafa. Are we winning?
