Et tu Carragher? - Carra the main man behind Rafa leaving?
Actually all this reminds me of my Sunday league "playing" days.
We started a new team from scratch with some very poor players, me not being much better I should add. We had this bloke in as manager who had done well with other teams in the past but we were playing 352 and we were losing pretty much every game by like 5-3 or something.
We would all go in the pub afterwards (the manager didn't drink) and slate him to high heaven, maoning that the fact we were getting beat was down to him and his insane strange tactics of 352, and that we should just play 442 as it was nice and simple.
In the end he finally had enough of us when we started moaning at him. We were happy enough and switched to 442. We lost the next 5-6 games by about ten goals and when we lost the 7th 17-1 we all decided that enough was enough.
In the end we admitted we got it wrong. We asked him to come back and he told us to do one, though I do still see him time to time when I'm back home and we get on.
I said many times last season that alot of the players didn't like Rafa's style and didn't want to play for him. Rightly or wrongly it was very evident and it was confirmed when he got very little vocal support this summer.

There is a difference to not getting their support and them using media sources to help get you the boot though.
Players losing faith in their manager happens up and down the country every year. Players forcing the manager out in a media campaign does not.
I laughed quite rightly at how Raul and co used to run Real Madrid.

Bloke was in his late 50's and loved his footy. Retired and nothing better to do. Wasn't the golfing type. Was asked by the pub to knock up a team - I think he knew someone who worked there.

Have to agree with this, and although they stopped playing for Rafa lat year think they ahve just decided to stop playing for Liverpool FC.
I hear that due to the Local lads refusing to play under Rafa the foreign lot are now getting their own back (due to being upset at losing Rafa) by refusing to play for Roy.
My facts are backed up by facts like Torres pretending he had an injury and the poor form of lucas, who was more amazing than something not being butter last year.
Also Dirk is refusing to cover for Glen this year to make him look silly and get him back for snubbing Rafa.
All the above is total fact, and from a source who has their ear so close to the ground for me to give their name out would be like insane.
It's not the players who have power who are the problem imo. It is the executives who consult them who give them the power. How often have we heard that senior players were consulted? Quite a lot I'd say. You can hardly blame the players for giving an opinion based on their beliefs, however, the collusion alluded to above would be completely wrong and totally unbecoming of a Liverpool player, who frankly should sacrifice himself in such circumstances. Wishful thinking I'm sure, but they of all should know that no-one is bigger than the club. Generally agree that the team will go nowhere with SG in it. Have heard far too often players stating that they just pass it to Stevie. Hardly surprising we are a one man team.
Don't buy it, because I don't see the relationship between a few cunts on talksport bad mouthing Rafa and his departure. He was 'sacked' for demanding more money imo.

Get rid of everyone. Board, players, manager. We need people willing to fight for the cause, no one is bigger then the club. It's time the fans took some control over this club like in continental Europe imo.
