I've said it before, and that is why I am convinced that Rafa lost the dressing room last season.

From that perspective he had to go.

He had a team (or high profile members of) that didn't want to play for him.

If he sold them, he would have looked like a right mug, if he stayed, I'm sure we would have had a similar year to last year.

Horrible situation from where I am sat.
      Oh I don't know.

Henry Winter is Gerrard's ghost writer. Look at how pro-Gerrard his articles and match reports are. Cringeworthy.

        Find a sample and read.
        Oh I don't know.

Would fit in with Lecters claim that both Carra and Gerrard are close to Purslow, no?

To be a real challenger yes. I think we could be in a better position even with the current constraints.

Oh ffs to this thread. This discussion should have been had over the summer. What's the point in it now?

              Especially now.

I certainly think that a bit like when Henry was in decline at Arsenal it prevented other leaders growing up in the team. That said at this moment we don't have anyone I think might step up.

I'm not sure that we can replace Carragher or Gerrard "without any problem". It may however be true that we need to move beyond them if we are to progress in the near future.

We need to get rid of the thought that we won't progress without them because we may very well do that. It's not a fact or anything but it's a good chance that we would do that.

Gerrard and Carragher isn't irreplaceable anymore. They are important players but not irreplaceable.

Irreplaceable is the key word. We may or may not get stronger without them. The problem is that we don't know and that Carra and Gerrard is Carra and Gerrard, two local big star players.

If a manager sells them or drop them then the supporters will turn against him very quickly. You simply don't drop or sell Gerrard and Carragher, you simply don't. Then you are finished.

That is a problem. The manager can't build the team his way. Even if a manager want to drop Carra then he can't do it. It's out of the question because Carra is Carra, a Liverpool legend.

Gerrard and Carragher will always as long as they play for the club be bigger than the manager. That is the real problem. No one should be bigger than the manager.

No wonder Sammy Lee's reign as Bolton supremo was so short-lived.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Get new owners in, sell Gerrard and Carra and build around Torres with an attacking manager. Its time for a new generation and a fresh LFC.

Strip the club of the average dross and rebuild, fitter, happier, more productive.

You know what, that is exactly what I think if we ever get new (capable) owners.

Henry Winter also wrote Kenny's book.

We are in a bad enough state as it is without our own fans making up conspiracy theories.

So according to the rumours Gerrard and Carra want Hodgson as manager so they can end their Liverpool careers getting relegated???
That is where we are headed with him in charge.

Do me a ****ing favour, this place has gone mad.
