Judge him with a better manager in charge.
    Are we winning?

          Talk about judging too soon

He's playing in a new country, for a manager who has only recently taken over the team. He's never going to be making the Sky Sports pick of the week in those circumstances.

Not hard, but I feel he’s been one of our more promising players this year, despite Roy not knowing how to utilise him. Think him and Lucas work quite well in the centre and it helps that he’s willing to get forward giving Lucas more options when in possession.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I said meh ffs, i'm hardly saying he's a massive flop or writting him off

Meh sums him Meireles perfectly so far imo, all huff an puff but no real killer pass/shot...he's mobile and quick and i like that but i don't really see him influencing matches and his lack of tackling has to be a concern for someone who's a centre midfielder by trade.

It's a good job Lucas was on form yesterday, as both Gerrard and Meireles were pretty poor for most of the match.

                'meh' is still a judgement

I think it is simply too soon to be expecting him to be playing to his full abilities. He's having to learn about his new team mates as well as Roy's inspirational tactics. These things dont happen instantly - I wouldn't be expecting great things until after Christmas at the earliest.

I think he's good. It's a player i've liked this year. He always makes himself available and tries to play forward, quick balls etc.

Nobody said you're writing him off - but it's too soon to make ANY real judgement, whether it's writing him off or even praising him.

I'm willing to give him a chance but he's been pi** poor so far. His passing is awful, he can't tackle and he he's a pu**y who pulls out of challenges.

                      NEEDS TO DO MORE!

Are you talking about Cole or Poulsen ?

He needs more games in his preferred position. Until last week (B-Burn) he was playing right mid. Since moving to the centre we have won 2 on the spin and he seems to operate well with Lucas, but yes, too early to judge.

Fair enough but even still, you don't need to see a player for 50 matches to see what he adds/doesn't add to the team...ie being an influence on the match, winning his tackles, passing the ball and generally making a big enough contribution to make you think - yeah this player was a good buy.

With Meireles, i just don't know what to think tbh, can't say one way or another.
