I don't know man, he passed it well today. Few overhit ones when trying to play Torres through on goal but overall his passing was fairly accurate.

Meireles today took me by surprise a bit. I thought he would struggle a bit with it just being him and Lucas but he more than held his own.

He was very good today. First half was better than the second but good game overall. He just needs to keep the ball on the ground when he tries 1-2 touch passes around the box.

Really impressed me today, he put in a good all around shift. Lucas is coming along nicely too in recent games too. If Meireles can keep this up he'll definitely prove to be a very good player. Although if Roy chooses to move him out of position again or if he doesn't build upon this run he's had, I can see him becoming a waste of space, although I'm sure it'll be more due to poor management rather than the player himself.

I thought him and Lucas formed some nice partnership today. Both of them were pushing the ball forward, ball control, possessions and passing was the best I have seen us play in a long time (first half).

He is a quality player when he is utilized in his natural position and if used properly can only get better.

That said I wouldn't be surprised if Roy goes back to his ****ty tactics and play him on the right again.

Would rather see Meireles behind Torres and Stevie in CM with Lucas. Stevie can take the game by the scruf of the neck at CM and get the balls to Meireles and Torres. Meireles passing is not his strongest facet, whereas Stevie has range and can pick a pass, and can act as that cog between midfield and forward line.

You're of your ****ing head Dan. Rauls best attribute is his short passing. He's fantastci at quickly moving it on. Stevie has the edge on shooting and getting past players and as such should be the one playing off Torres. Especially since Raul doesn't vacate cm as much as Gerrard.

Buy hazard and we could play a pretty awesome 4-3-3. Gerrard, Lucas and Meireles in the middle would be hard to beat.

Meireles seems eager to take shots, i say play him closer to goal. He needs to do more in games, being played centrally hopefully will help him progress and adapt. I'm not his biggest fan but an more than happy to be proved wrong.

Gerrard would get more goals from off the striker than Meireles.

IMO there's little to choose between Meireles and Gerrard in CM, Gerrard attempts to play too many 'hollywood balls' which don't come off and lose us possession. Gerrard in much better off the striker. IMO it's a no brainer:

I think our defence is easy to pick. I think the three cm's speak for themselves. I pick Kuyt and Babel as they're used to that system from the Dutch national side and in Babels case, Ajax.

But it is a formation that allows for injuries. I think Poulsen and Spearing could do a job in Cm, their limitations not so exposed with two partners as opposed to one. Cole played in a similar role for Chelsea so could easily come in, whilst Jovas ideal position is on the left in a front three.

When on top of teams we can play 433, when struggling we can switch to 451 and have Gerrard pushing on like last season to support Torres.

IMO it's a system that allows the majority of our players to play in their best positions. I should add, my choice of manager is Andres Villas Boas and his Porto side play this very system.

i prefer ste in the middle of the park than off the front man but rather than drop lucas or raul id stick ste in a 3 man centre with both of them. 4-3-3 like chelski play. it works for lampard and ste is a similar type.
