spot on, if Raul adapts and pushes on in the premier league in time i might feel much more confident in putting him in the crucial CM role, but until then i think Gerrard represents a better and much more stable/proven option in that position.

and i hope he keeps improving, playing a central role where ever it may be is vital, the worst thing Roy can do is lumber him out right again.

Gerrard would get more goals from off the striker than Meireles.

IMO there's little to choose between Meireles and Gerrard in CM, Gerrard attempts to play too many 'hollywood balls' which don't come off and lose us possession. Gerrard in much better off the striker. IMO it's a no brainer:
