I'm having a pop because i see nothing to suggest he's remotely bothered about our chances of getting into the CL or keeping Torres, Reina etc....Originally posted by rcasemore View PostCraig, he's been here under a month, you're a good poster usually but having a pop at Henry isn't right.
He's the top man and he needs to be proactive. He needs no excuse to sack Hodgson, it's a perfect opportunity - NESV didnt appoint him and new owners are well within their rights to want their own manager.
Hodgson is terminal to LFC and i see the owners sitting by allowing him to do more and more damage.
It's not on.

none of us know what they're up to though, clearly you're massively ****ed off, as am I but we don't know if things are going on behind the scenes or not .Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI'm having a pop because i see nothing to suggest he's remotely bothered about our chances of getting into the CL or keeping Torres, Reina etc....

You're 100% about Hodgson and I think they'll get shot but most likely once they've found thier own man.

They said they are here to learn and do a lot of listening - well anyone they ask, will tell them Hodgson's ****. Kenny's forgotten more about football than they'll ever know - HE will tell them RH is ****. Comolli too. All the fans.
And failing that, they can just watch the games and look at the stats. You dont need Columbo to crack this case.
Yet, they do nothing.
And that's fine, but why not sack him now and put Kenny in charge until they've found their man?Originally posted by rcasemore View Postnone of us know what they're up to though, clearly you're massively ****ed off, as am I but we don't know if things are going on behind the scenes or not .

Nobody could do worse than this doddering old fool. If Kenny doesnt win every game, so be it. We werent going to anyway. Kenny could only get more points than Hodgson will.

I don't think they're going to change the manager before they have a CEO in place. I looked at the board of directors in another thread, they're all non football people. They need to have someone who knows the ins and outs of the club asap, as CEO. We can't be having another disastrous appointment again. Are we winning?

I know what you're saying but it looks like it's going to be a wait until we've got the man we want rather than remove Royston and appoint kenny for while.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostAnd that's fine, but why not sack him now and put Kenny in charge until they've found their man?

I do think if there was a real issue with players leaving they'd have moved by now - (my gut feeling I must admit!)
Just feel a little patience is needed, new sport to them and they've been here less than a month - things will come good !

And that's precisely why i am having a pop. It shouldnt be a wait.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostI know what you're saying but it looks like it's going to be a wait until we've got the man we want rather than remove Royston and appoint kenny for while.

As for players leaving - i already think Torres has kept faith with us longer than i would've expected. He owes us nothing really, in the circumstances.
He has every right to say "I am willing to risk it and wait for success, but the least the club can do is put the wheels in motion to help us build that success - and they arent doing that".
Let's be honest, most other players of his ilk would've ****ed off well before now.

No it probably shouldn't but turning on the "saviours of the club" from H&G in under a month is something we shouldn't be doing - let them know as much as we can we need to get rid of him let alone the results being dreadful they'll get shot but a little more patience might be needed - we took 3 years to get shot of the cancerous ****ers and I want shot of Roy asap as well and sooner rather than later.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostAnd that's precisely why i am having a pop. Thing is with Nando and Pepe and the rest we want to stay at the club we don't know what they've been told by NESV

I still have not heard any reason why Hodgson cant be sacked now, and replaced by Kenny as caretaker manager. They can still take the time to find their new manager, but we'd be in safer hands. The players would all instantly respect Kenny, he has a winning mentality and is an advocate of attacking football. He was highly creative as a player, so will know what standards are required in a creative sense.
If someone could give me a good reason why this couldnt happen, i will happily listen. Nobody can though, it seems.

Simple answer is they don't want to.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI still have not heard any reason why Hodgson cant be sacked now, and replaced by Kenny as caretaker manager. Not saying it's right but that seems to be the case.
Who knows might wake up in the morning and he's been given the bullet - (prays for this!)

To be fair Craig, despite the fact that Roy's clearly not up to the job, I can understand NESV not sacking him ASAP. As they've admitted themselves, they're still new to the game, so I imagine they'll want to be 100% sure they're making the right decision. They may not realise how much extra damage can be done by keeping him on for another month (for example).Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI still have not heard any reason why Hodgson cant be sacked now, and replaced by Kenny as caretaker manager. And there lies the answer as to why i am having a pop at John Henry.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostSimple answer is they don't want to.

If he doesnt want to, then he doesnt care enough.

Kenny would be the easiest short term solution but what happens if he has instant success, give him a longer term contract? I mean, football has changed and Kenny is associated with our great past. He should be closely involved with the club, just not sure as a manager. But yes, it's a no brainer at the moment. Are we winning?
