What bigger 'excuse' is there than being comfortably beaten by Stoke?

When you say the decision - do you just mean to sack Roy, or do you mean about his replacement too?

Unless of course, it's now just about speaking to said replacement and seeing if he's available/interested etc, not to mention specifics on a contract, compensation etc.

If they have identified the man they want as you suggested you felt was the case, then it shouldnt be too long in terms of determining whether he would want to come, and then agreeing terms.

If we cant get a new man til the summer, then Kenny has to be given a caretaker role. We simply cannot afford to keep Hodgson all season. Disasterous outcome, that would be.

For me, I'd expect a new guy in place before Xmas - if there is going to be a replacement it makes no sense to give Roy money in the Jan window when whoever he looks to bring in may not fit the new guys thoughts.

Comolli is obviously going to have some say in signings but he'd still have to work hand in hand with the manager

Did my eyes deceive me or was Fuller's successful shot a complete miskick? I've only seen the goal once since the game but it looked to me then like he was trying to kick with his left but made contact with his right accidentally before he swung his left.

When I caught the goal yesterday I wasn't paying much attention (for obvious reasons) but is that what happened?
