Well I reckon I could do a better job than Roy Hodgson, I wouldn't do any worse. So whoever comes in will take time to impose their ideas upon the players, but the results won't get any worse unless we lose our top players.

I agree with you but NESV will not make any decisions unless they are 100% certain that they have a solution for our problems. These are people that have no football knowledge/brains and they have to trust a competent CEO, which we don't have, to do the obvious thing and until he is appointed our agony will continue.

Not everyone thinks the same as you and I, although I am upset by the responses of some I am not at all surprised in the slightest.

I wouldn't say those that responded are ignorant or arrogant, that is their own way of dealing with our plight but to me it seems as though they're not too bothered about what's happening. I deal with it the way I do because I get upset at the mess we're in, I can't deal with it in any other way.

Thanks for backing my corner though Rudo.

Things are **** at the moment there's no denying that...

We are privileged to be Liverpool fans... Imagine having to go the game having little or no belief of being 'successful'... winning anything?

To quote the biggest cliché of them all you walk through the storm with head held ****in high. This is a bad period for us... I have utmost belief (over quite a bit of time granted) we will come out of this and still be the team clubs fear.... The team people respect more than any... The team that produces world class football.

I sincerely believe this.... I really do.

Hopefully it will dawn on you soon just as to how bad a state we're in and only then will you realise.

If you're happy to settle for mediocrity then so be it, I'm not.
Why is it you think refusing to say you've 'had enough of being a Liverpool fan' is the same as 'settling for mediocrity'? As far as I'm concerned being a moaning ****house doesn't qualify you for any extra superfan points. Feel ****e about things, fine, but don't have a pop at people who think you need to chill out when you're implying you're sick of supporting us. Some of us ****ing well aren't. That alright?

I just posted this elsewhere, but seems approprite. I feel for Slinky, felt like that as well sometimes..

Ok, I've had enough of the supreme idiot that is Hodgson, so apologies for the long post:

Player power is part & parcel of the modern game and only a strong, highly motivated, ruthless manager can hope to deal with it. That manager also needs wholehearted backing from the club, otherwise they become isolated and ultimately ineffective.

For me Rafa was one of only a small handful of managers in that category (Mouronho, Ferguson, Wenger, Ancelotti, Guardiola to name a few). Rafa, while he had the club's backing kept the team moving forward in his style. When that backing disappeared the lid on Pandora's Box was lifted and the game was up. Without the ability/authority to shift players who become too powerful you're a goner. Shanks did it, Dalglish did it, even Houllier bloody did it. Rafa lost the ability to do it, hence we're in the **** situation we find ourselves.

Unfortunately for me we need 2 things:
                        1. A proper world class manager, one that understands a big club mentality, where to win is the only driving force, where stature, gravitas & class are as important as fearless mentality on the pitch. Big clubs, especially LFC don't fear clubs, they fear us. We respect them. Roy doesn't even seem to know that the "This is Anfield" sign even exists let alone what it stands for. All managers since Shanks have revered that sign.

                        2. Give that manager free reign to ditch WHOEVER he wants, period. No and/if/buts. Get rid of and buy who he wants (within NESV's limits of course). Otherwise, forget it and get used to being Blackburn

I've nailed my colours to the mast, I always wanted Rafa to have 1 more season under new owners, fully backed. Didn't happen, that's life, but I've never liked or wanted Roy. He's a small minded manager with very limited ambition. Give Dalglish the reins, & AUTHORITY to discipline ANY player he sees fit until the new manager is appointed.

We need to start being Liverpool Football Club again, NOW!
I'm in a glass cage of emotion!

Thanks for asking. Sort of. I'm not a kid, i don't think things will become golden tomorrow just by hiring someone, but it needs to be done. We need to get rid of Roy fast & appoint someone who can drive us on.

Look, i don't like losing, but if you lose while as a fan you feel the club is heading upwards and onwards, you get over it faster, we take it in our stride, don't get distracted from the prize.

But this, this just feels like abject failure. Like we expect to get beaten and getting anything, ANYTHING at all is good. Not gret, wow, ****ing get in there, but good. I loved beating chelski & hammering my chelski mates, but it was a surprise, didn't feel like 2 heavyweights slugging it out. THAT'S what i hate about us, knowing we're a Heavyweight club, playing, acting, being managed like a Featherweight amateur. It sucks

                              now i feel better...
