    Media - Hypocrisy

Reading Mark Lawrenson's last article on the daily post, it's obvious now that the media is full of **** and that last year there was a blind chorus against Rafa.

Lawrenson is blaming the players now -they have to start playing well blah blah blah...

but last year it was Rafa' fault dear Mr. lawrenson, try to be consistent, try to say the facts that Hodgson' tactics especially away are the worst in the premier league.

He doesn't manage to say anything remotely coherent there. It might not be his fault, maybe it's the way it's been written or edited, but it's just a random collection of phrases that sound profound but add up to nothing, like a David Cameron speech.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

You should have left it at that. Sack your editor.

It's beyond me how Lawro has a job as a pundit at all. When has anyone ever posted on a fan forum or spoke to someone in work the next day about something wothwhile or interesting that he's said? I get that 99% of Media is filling dead air and space on the page but there has to be someone better than him out there.

Even more so considering the total lack of backing for our last manager..even when we were winning they slated him.

All I will say on the matter is this.

Whinging about the Media is something every fan does. Every fan thinks the media hates there team, and then produces 100's of quotes to back it up. I know fans that think Grey is pro Liverpool. Its all about perception.

The more we whinge and moan the more stupid it makes us as fans look. I know SkySports is a bit of a WKD crowd channel and there opinions should be taken with a pinch of salt. But all these pundits and so called experts are backing Dodgeson for a reason. So maybe rather than moaning that there all pro Dodge and anti Rafa, fans should read the articles propely and stop automatically assuming the same position of "The Media hates us"

                Winds me up some times

The little star thing needs a corresponding one on the main body of the text to refer to. Yours just seems a little lonely.

Sorry, but it doesn't. With no corresponding * to refer to I'm afraid the Est community as a whole will completely ignore it

Still, a lesson learned and all that.

I agree it's interesting to note how many pundits support Hodgson (as I've said before) and it is something that needs explaining in far less simplistic terms than media bias.

I don't see the point in getting wound up because others are dismissing it so what's your interpretation of the phenomenon?

Im not necessarily wound up about their support of Hodgeson. Its more the general feeling from fans that "Everyone hates us" Its beginning to be every article that paints us in a slightly less favourable light, then people automatically assume that the writer has an agenda.

Not everyone in the Media likes us, but not everyone hates us either.

As usual, I'll probebly make no sense to you Neil

I think if you left your crusty bias at the door you'd find Dave to be an insightful chap full of articulately presented and clearly defined wisdom. Remember, Neil. The Coalition loves you and just wants you to love it in return
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
