Dirk pulled out of the Holland game last night with a recurrence of the ankle injury that kept him out recently.

Holland probably recognised that he hadn't fully recovered and was happy to let him sit out a friendly for his long term benefit (unlike some other national teams).

Roy really should give Babel a shot at LM. Surely he has to play Raul in CM, so a wide player must come in and I would fancy babel to get some joy out of a West Ham side low on confidence.

That Kuyt is an injury doubt is only down to one man, Roy, and that he decided to play him three times in around a week straight after an injury.

Roy will NEVER care about a players long term fitness. It's only next game that counts.

Torres injury problems is also much down to Roy and that he decided to play him to early at the start of the season after his injury.

Even an idiot would figure out that he would get problems later on because of that.

You don't need to pack your bags Roy. We will keep your things to pay the damage you are responsible for.

I think this is pretty unfair. I think most managers would have handled things similarly. It is tempting to blame Roy for everything but it seems a little unnecessary when he makes so many genuine missteps.

They'd come in to 13/2 from 15/2 and embarassingly were the second most popular bet out of the 'top five popular bets' they list

He was very good in the middle against Blackburn (so gets put out wide ever since) and was absolutely outstanding last night against Spain in the ****ing middle!

Torres played for Spain so no reason why he shouldn't start, Kuyt should be fine, hard to know if injury has flared up or he was just being careful and pulled out to rest, if not Ngog will come in and thats fine by me. Any news on Cole or Aurelio? I'd like to see these two get 20 mins or so at some stage. Hopefully Cole isn't stuck out LM again as he's useless there for us, and be great to get perma-crock Aurelio back in contention and hopefully we can throw The Konch in a wheelie bin around the back of Anfield

If Kuyt came back it's because he was injured not because Holland are a nice country with a nice manager. Now that doesn't mean he won't be fit for West Ham as it may have been an impact injury but still.

Oh and any PL game with Spearing starting is an embarrassment to this football club

The problem is that Hodgson knew that he risked Kuyt by playing him so much straight after the injury. He mentioned it himself after the Chelsea game and then he goes on and play him two more full games in a very short time.

He simply don't care about a players long term fitness.
