Thank you Martin. Time for NESV to strip Freddie Bowell and the life presidency and give it to Broughton.

Thank you Mr. Broughton
He was the ultimate professional throughout and acted with class and dignity, never really courted the media until the end, and ultimately took us to where we needed to go. He also showed himself to have a large pair of cojones when faced with the last minute interference from TH and GG when they attempted to sack CP and IA.
Well done Martin Broughton you will never walk alone!Modifying post.

Kind of answering your own question here...Originally posted by brightred View PostI don't mean to rain on the parade but I don't really see why people are so thankful. Yes, the yank ****ers are gone and we are free of debt but do we have cause to be grateful to Mr. Broughton yet?Modifying post.

Keep the faith, mate!Originally posted by brightred View PostNot really, we're playing ****e football and need new players, not to mention a class manager. Broughton's sale of the club won't necessarily give us that.
All in good time. What is required is a little patience.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

You do realise that there are an awful lot of people that are doing their jobs not very well, and are still rewarded. Hodgson for instance.Originally posted by brightred View PostMaybe i'm being overly negative but just don't get why people are so grateful.
The man was doing his job, and being very well paid.
The way that Broughton completely tied H&G in knots, despite them trying to fire the board, undermine him, and going to court in two continents speaks volumes. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was confident in his ability to deliver his objective. I think there are very few people that would have got the same outcome in those very difficult, yet very public, high pressure circumstances.
That is why I am grateful.Oh I don't know.

He was the epitome of a professional businessman who knows what he's doing, knows how to handle a situation, knows how to conduct himself and has the experience to keep a cool head in difficult times.
Thanks Mr Broughton, your efforts will not be forgotten. A gentleman and a pro. If only he'd been conducting LFC's off-field business for the past decades...
All the best Martin.
