I think most strikers would love to be feeding on scraps then. Twice put through one on one with the keeper. In general this season your comment would stand but not today.

As for working his socks off well I just didn't see that at all. Ngog was doing all of that today.

Hmm. Thought he missed two clear chances. Didn't see him second half. Was he subbed at half time?

However, second half we reverted to type and ceded possession to Spurs and started to sit infuriatingly deep. We did still manage to get numbers forward when attacking but after about 60 mins it was pretty obvious what was going to happen as we just invited pressure.

People can say we were unlucky with the missed chances but Tottenham had 17 chances including a missed penalty, disallowed goal and one off the line. Konchesky is ****e but it was dreadful tactics which ultimately led to our defeat.

Our current squad is easily good enough to challenge for the top four and with a couple of additions in January could really push close. However, this will only happen if we get a new manager who knows what he's doing and isnt from the Cretaceous period.

It was priority for years and it still is. On that note, why Aurelio was not playing from the start? He is fit, had good 20 minutes against WH and should have been the first choice and not ****e Konk.

He made Bale none-factor today and not because Bale decided not to show up but cause Glen did good job.

To be honest thats not really saying much as Paul Konchesky is one of, if not the worst player ever to wear a LFC shirt, there is hope for anybody out there if Paul Konchesky can forge a professional career in the game. He is an embarrassment to the game of football. Jus tone of the nightmares Roy has gave us to add to several other mares in our squad.

As for Johnson, he got skint "5" times today, 4 times by Gareth Bale, once by Modric for the goal, (combo of him and Carra) woeful defender, gets caught out time and time again, horrendous body positioning and awareness for a defender, complete and utter liability in our defence & his defensive frailties will cost us, as they have done in his time at LFC.
Honestly Dan where is this animosity toward Glen coming from? The way you describing him he was the reason why we lost the game and he was the worst player on the pitch and that cannot be further from the truth..Glen's job was to control the left side and put the stop to Bale's attacking runs and he did that well.

In regards to Modric run, it was Leiva who lost him initially and then he ran by Carra like he wasn't there. Nothing to do with Glen. His job was to make sure that Bale was cut off, which is what he accomplished.

Because we have a manager that couldn't pick his own nose let alone a teamsheet...

Hmmm. Was Torres pissed off with the team or at himself for missing chances prior to the penalty? To be a mind reader eh? Since none of us are though, let's not get to carried away.

              On the game.

I was furious at full time. In fact I was ****ing livid. We should never have lost that game. Spurs were average and were there for the taking. Tbh we capitulated. Disgusting surrender. Looks like Comollis French mentality has got through already

I should take that back really, it's the mentality of the very English appointment of Roy that's killed this club

When Craig is no longer giving match reaction but picking fights with dp you know things have gone wrong. Well in fairness, he and other reds have done well to drag out the positivety until now. Our meek surrender has been coming and if anything, the fact we still had thougts on finishing 4th was only ever down to how poor the rest of the league was, as opposed to any great work on Roys part.

Still, not to worry. I heard from a man in the know (our manager in the tabloids as usual) that we ate doing as well as could be expected. That's right, despite our massive squad and expenditure on wages, midtable is the very best that could be expected.

Mind, an even bigger whopper than that is this: some lfc fans may be suprised at us throwing away today's result, or suprised at where we are in the league. But don't worry, we have "The Liverpool Way" to fall back on as usual. That's right, the phrase that used to mean a high moral ground that instead now means a reds fan being asked to take a humping in the rear and accepting mediocority. Because rest assured, as us fans stick to our principles and support Roy on the terraces, man utd will only be too happy to cruise to no. 19, 20, 21, etc.....

"The Liverpool Way" used to mean success. Instead it mow stands for failure. Roy hasn't moved on since the 70's. Maybe we haven't. But don't let this count as me being bitter and twisted. Yes I've had a drink. Yes I'm pissed off.

But know this. Even in our dark past I used to see the light. I always saw the positives and I generally posted as such. In fact, in general, I would say I am a very positive poster - until this season. But I had something to be positive about - until this season.

Now I only see the end of lfc in the short term. A meek surrender of our status as a top club. A poor and depressing transitional stage as nesv and Roy get us used to accepting mid table obscurity as a success story. But I refuse to moarn. I predicted this outcome long a go. I know the fans on the terraces will not stand as one to oust Roy. I know nesv will not act without that. I know we are stuck with Roy, no longer for better - but for worse, and worse, and worse still.

It's a nightmare. And we are a long way from waking up. Especially as Sundays performance will have many thinking, "that's not too bad a performance" be honest, we all thought that at some stage. But think again my fellow fans. They had far more shots, they missed a pen and they had two cleared off the line. Spurs deserved their win, especially given that they had tough circumstances to overcome. And the very fact we are starting to see that type of away performance as a positive, should tell us how far we have slipped.

We have gone from EXPECTING 4th under rafa to accepting rubbish under Roy. Wake me up when that useless cunt has left our club.
              Forwards.......

Torres should have score in the beginning of the second half!

so unlucky.. but we didn't deserve any point.

When are the owners going to do something about Hodgson. If not soon this will become the worst season in a long long time and sadly that has to come down to the owners as well as this pathetic manager. All we have had of the owners so far is words words and more words no ****ing action. If this dick does not go by the middle of next month it pretty much means that he is here for the season and he might get more money to spend on less than average players and then be able to blame Rafa for the mess. I Hate watching Liverpool at the moment and I have never felt like that before. Rant over untill the next rant that is.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I wasn't actually furious, I was sick to my stomach but I have to say I never thought we'd win after the way the second half started, and when they scored their goal I felt another one was just a question of time. They sat back, deeper and deeper and Roy just allowed that to happen. Couple of things:

                            1. He should have been screaming the side on pushing them further forward.

                            2. He should have started Aurelio and left PFK at home, it must be so frustrating for the team when trying to pass the ball you can't rely on your left hand side, he'll just give the ball away or run into opposition players, turn around and pass it back and often get his teammates into trouble with poorly thought out passes.

He should be sacked ASAP and Kenny brought in as caretaker just to preserve the mentality of the players and take some pressure off the team. The supporters, and most players, would probably back off, shut up and give Kenny some time to finish the season. Why they don't see this amazes me.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I hope that Roy don't let Gerrard play in the middle when he comes back. Meireles and Lucas should play there. Gerrard should play behind Torres or not play at all.

Konchesky is rubbish. Even Reina would be a better option. Skrtel, his positional sense when it comes down to helping out the fullback isn't exactly top class.

Carra out injured probably a long time. Could be a blessing in disguise because it could mean that Agger stays and get a chance to play when he gets back.
I'm fairly certain that Gerrard will come back into centre midfield. Roy thinks that's he best position, and that he's the best centre midfielder at the club.

When Gerrard comes back Meireles will be the one who has to move to accommodate him.
