He's never going to be one to take a game by the scruff of it's neck and win it on his own, but he gets involved in and around the box and his interchanges with Torres (not just yesterday) have look really good and intelligent at times.
He is also a bit crap when we retreat into our shells for the last 30 minutes of games. If we are going to do that I think Roy should at the very least sub on appropriate players.
Generally I think he is a good player who has been in decent form of late.

Sadly I think appropriately timed subs are a major problem for Roy.

I wasnt picking a fight I was just offering some light hearted banter.

As for the game and posting match reaction - meh. I cant be arsed anymore.

Until Hodgson's gone, my will and passion will remain evaporated.

In regards to Modric run, it was Leiva who lost him initially and then he ran by Carra like he wasn't there. Nothing to do with Glen. His job was to make sure that Bale was cut off, which is what he accomplished.
          No animosity at all mate

I just think he is a bad defender and makes crucial mistakes in so many games. Not the worst performer at all yesterday, he is a good footballer and seems at his best going forward but IMO his assets are not being used to the benefit of LFC.

Cant really blame that on him though, can you?

Though Maxi did well yesterday, missed a sitter but in general i think he has improved, he's doing more in games and is looking busy, obviously there's room for improvement and production but IMO although not a natural left winger is our best option out there at the moment.

Dya think this might be because, as a few of us spent time telling you, he's a good player?

On Maxi, he's been very good of late. I wouldn't play Cole or Jova ahead of him. In fact, he's the only player who looks capable of linking with Torres. I'd actually consider playing him behind Torres.

Ngog and Torres seems like a good idea, but they play like strangers.

Yes and no, in all fairness Johnson wasn't exactly fantastic last season either under Rafa. But i suppose we haven't really had what you'd call a settled defence since Johnson arrived either.

Johnson can play much better than he is playing, thats for sure. But we really really need some quality in January. To be honest i'm gettig bored of the depressing talk about LFC, it just seems that us LFC fans have **** all to be happy about, its soul destroying stuff and i don't see any light at the end of the tunnel either.

IMO we will get few wins here and there, lose a few and draw a few. A so so effort that will prolong Hodgson in the role and stagnate any sort of progress. When i watch Liverpool i am always expecting the worst, and thats not right and its not enjoyable to see the club you love like this.

eh no. he has improved on mediocre performances last season, nothing to blow your load over Craig, lets hope he can push on.

The best we can hope for is a 6th placed finish, about the same as last year. But at least last year we were in the race for 4th right up until near the end of the season.

I'm used to being out the title race by the end of November, it's a long time Manc joke that is usually right. But being out of the race for 4th by the end of November is a new low!

The fact that we dont play to Johnson's strengths, or use a system that suits him, is in no way HIS fault.

If we were an attacking side, his defensive weaknesses wouldnt be as obvious.

I think Cole will struggle to be a regular starter
