If our horrendous form continues after NESV have finished bedding in and setting up all the background staff and hierarchy of the club then I will of course start to question their judgement.

Now is not quite the time to start slagging them off yet, it's too premature is all I'm saying. We don't even have a Chief Executive yet.

I know it's hard but we need to be a little bit patient here before we start getting too judgemental I'm afraid.

Giving Kenny the job on a temp basis which is what i would like creates tis own problems.......If he did well and they had been negotiating with a manager from another club what happens then? Maybe Kenny doesnt want to take it ona temp basis?
And if that's true, then that's a massive error on their part. Idiotic, in fact.

Point 2 - none that are anywhere near as big as the problems we have now.

Kenny would 100% take it, on ANY basis.

I won;t get it into my head that RH is syaing as its not logical. We are LFC, they are NESV they back winners, they make winners.

That guy who has supported us for 20years, do you think he is not bending JH's ear to how bad we really are? they might not know football, but they know people who do oh and to top it off tomkins and henry have met....how do you think that conversaton went?

        Keep the faith.
I never questioned Broughton or Purslow. But regarding the point you are trying to make, they had a specific deadline they were working towards, the date when the loan had to be repaid.

I can't see what deadline Nesv are working towards. So I can't see why they are not dropping the axe. It's not like Roys results have done anything to suggest he is the right man.
        Forwards.......

And that in itself, is worthy of questions being asked.

The only acceptable answer is that they're waiting for the 2018 world cup thingy to be sorted this thursday and after which point, David Dein will be our new CEO. That's the ONLY explanation which i would consider to be 'fair enough'.

The only light is that they will possibly hold off until we have a new CEO in place. Perhaps when we have the new CEO we will shake things up.

I think they are completing an exhaustive search so they don't end up with another loser like Rick Parry. I think it's an important enough to decision to take your time over to give you the best possible chance of making it right.

I understand your frustration, but you're in danger of sounding like an impatient, spoilt brat here.

That's what he was when we signed him - as happened with Riise before him too. He'd also played centre midfield before we signed him. Like Riise he was used as LB although it wasn't his natural position, but they both have very good left feet

I think the problem Pablo is that we are missing a real chance to finish top 4 by keeping Roy. Coming top 4 would help us so much in the short term. It would help us keep our best players and would help us attract the best players.

It just seems like Nesv have decided to write this season off, which would have been fair enough had the league not gone to rat **** this year. The drop in standards I think demands a re think of what we should be aiming at for this year.

If Nesv wait until the end of January as has been suggested, we may as well wait until the end of the season because this season WILL be over.

It's either sack him now and go for 4th, or just stick with him until the end of the season. I know what we should do - sack him. I know what we will do - Keep him.

In all seriousness though, questions have to be asked about the manager when you have a player who's always given his all, who's played with injuries when he should have been resting (both for us and Spain), who's character is to fight and play his heart out, and who seemed to have an emotional connection with the club up to the summer (and I dont say that lightly about players, for all their badge-kissing) looks so disillusioned.

It doesnt say to me that he doesnt care (because he looks disgusted with the stupidity of the penalty award, rather than not arsed) but it does say that he thinks we're rubbish at the moment. He looks annoyed with how predictable our rubbishness is.

Much like the rest of us.
I wonder if we are reading too much into it and he just doesn't watch opponent's penalties - superstition whatever?

It's hard to argue with any of that as a fan. I'm the same as you, I can't stand the man and want him gone ASAP. I also understand the clock is ticking to salvage something from this horror of a season.

But when I put myself into NESV's shoes I can see the need for them to be thorough, and not make rushed decisions before they've even got the structure of the club in place. I just wish they'd bought us a few months earlier. If they had I think Roy would be gone by now IMO.

It was disappointing to lose but it was a very good performance. We didn't defend only, we passed pretty well, created quite a few scoring chances and we were very unlucky with the final outcome.
Agreed. However I felt our performance benefitted by playing another 4-4-2 side. We've struggled all season against teams with 5 in the middle, which is most teams.

I thought our midfield played a lot better than theirs and, to be honest, Spurs were there for the taking. Either we're better than we think we are or Spurs are in a false position. Certainly they didn't look anything like a top four club. Their football was mostly poorer than ours and for most of the game they were relying on long punts towards Crouch (which of course eventually paid off, thanks to PFK playing statues).

Just missing three three open goals which would have put the game to bed and then conceding a goal from Route One football in injury time cost us dearly.

But having seen us outplay Spurs on their own ground was heartening and I'm even more convinced than ever that a proper manager would have our team competing at a higher level.

Interestingly, we didn't seem to miss Gerrard at all and both Meireles and Lucas (peach of a ball to Torres, who fluffed his lines early in the second half), linked up really well and played with a lot more confidence.

As ever this season the one consolation after another defeat is that surely Hodgson is one game nearer to getting the boot

just had a look at another penalty against us

and torres walked away on that one (i think its hard to tell the quality is bad)

                            it was against pompey

He played well at the end of last season, the problem is your ability to judge a player.

I don't see that at all. They've got a pen, he can do **** all about it and he's simply walking up the pitch in anticipation of a kick off after a goal. For the originator to question his body language based on that video is laughable in the extreme
