I'd like to see Kelly and Wilson get their chances, but with the team playing so badly at the moment this is not the time to blood them in the Premeiership. I'd play both in Europe to give them their chance, but for the Premiership I'd stick with Kyriakos and Skrtel.

In fairness he's done a decent job at giving Kelly game time already, and it certainly hasn't harmed his career. I just think The Greek fully deserves to start and was unlucky to be dropped in the first place.

Oh and I think Kelly should be ahead of Wilson in the CB pecking order currently.

Has played more first team games, and has performed well, even when played out of position at RB. CB is his strongest position.

Wilson needs to prove himself in the reserves first. The only time I saw him play was against Northampton, where he was very poor. I'm not writing him off, but Kelly deserves a shot at CB first for me.

Granted there isn't much in it but Wilson played 25 times for Rangers as a CB including cup finals and CL and was recently capped by Scotland playing CB, Kelly has featured more in the 1st team this season but as a RB, his loan spell to Huddersfield was as a LB.
Wilson is in the full Scotland squad, Kelly isn't first choice for the U21's in any position (yet).

Don't get me wrong I said after watching Kelly's debut against Lyon that he will become a really good player for us but Wilson is the one playing CB week in week out so for me he should be the one to get a chance in the Europa League, if he doesn't with 2 injuries then it's pointless him being here

Carragher won't be missed. It was embarrassing to watch Modric waltz past him as he struggled to turn round. His legs have gone.

We've got plenty of CB cover so I don't see a problem. Kyrgiakos will almost certainly play but Kelly is a natural CB and looks great there, while Wilson is a full international CB, so we have plenty of alternatives

I'm not sure Kelly is ready to be thrown in at CB although we won't ever find out as there is no chance of Hodgson playing him there.
Wilson would be my choice to be given a chance, he has more first team experience at CB, played in the CL and for Scotland as a CB whereas all of Kelly's first team experience for us and on loan has been at Full Back.

His organizational skills will be sorely missed as Skrtel and Kyriagkos are more brawn than brains, but yes Carra's legs have gone. Should be used more sparingly next season IMO

Yes, and Kelly played at RB.

So Kelly has played approx 15 games in his career (inc on loan to Huddersfield) and just a few minutes of that was as a CB against PSV??

I'm not doubting his potential as I've posted before from seeing him live against Lyon onwards it was obvious that he has a hell of a chance of being a brilliant player for us, just not sure he is the better option right now against Wilson as a CB
