Absolutely. We can try to sugar-coated anyway we want to but the fact remains we don't have enough quality and results in last couple years clearly demonstrate that. They got better and deeper squad and they will continue to compete for Cl spot and we can hope at best to be in Europa League unless we bring some quality signings.

Need to see big changes on the playing side of things, defo.

We've seen the likes of Hyypia, Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa and Benayoun leave in the last few years and it was always going to be difficult to replace players of that quality with the owners we had at the time.

Now tho, we appear to have the right owners so it's time they start flashing the cash
- 2-3 January signings then at least half a dozen in the summer. No messing about

And we not but we definitely need 2,3 very good signings in January to turn our season around subject that we are not too far behind the leading bunch.

Not impossible task but without any real quality improvements imo the best we can hope is Europa League.

No we're not, but what we do have are not as good as those above us (not right now, but last season apart from Villa).

You also make a very good point about when we came second. We weren't full of quality but what we were that season is a 'team', something we haven't been, in my eyes, for over a season.
