Daniel has not featured since September 25 due to sickness and a calf problem. Dr Peter Brukner reported on November 18, it is likely to be three or four weeks before he can return to action.
    This is what I read

So with little bit of luck he could be back in a week or two.

To be fair I was going easy on him. There are plenty more players in our team I'd miss a whole lot more

Do you mean that of those CBs at the club with no technical ability he's the best (hard to disagree with that) - or do you mean despite his total lack of technical ability he's still our best centre-back? I beg to disagree if that's what you meant.

He's a chronically slow hoofball merchant, a penalty-kick waiting to happen, who needs to wind his neck in. I'm looking forward very much to a period without his negative influence on the team

Better get used to no Carra, he's 33 isn't he ? Can't imagine he's got more than a year or so left at this level.

                Not for me.

Carra should have been phased out long time ago

Soto and Skrtel have been playing well this year and imo they both offer much more than Carra at this point in his career.

I cringed when he chopped down, was it Modric on Sunday? He got absolutely skinned for pace and it was all he could do. Embarassing.

Hmm, don't really want to see him out of the squad, I don't think it will make too much difference to our performances. If he's out for 3 months, this would surely have a negative effect on him? could well finish him do you think? he might only be used as cover when he gets back.

At least it's not like we've give him a £90k/week 2 year contract or owt...

I'm not going to go as far as to say this could be a blessing... but I do think some good could come out of this.

Actually it won't. Regardless of who comes in to replace Carragher, if Hodgson is still in charge when Carragher returns from injury then he'll go straight back into the team, regardless of how well his stand-in performs.

                            Bollocks in this thread.

He'll be badly missed. Agger/Skrtel/Soto are all horse****e

Yeh course they are. And Carra's been a real bastion of late. Hardly like we ever concede nowadays.
