Average, don't get me wrong 3-0 at home is great but still only 40% possession at home is asking for trouble.
Reina's save from Agbonlahor at 2-0 was vital.
Inviting pressure onto us against better sides either home or away will only result in us getting beat regularly.

Pleased with Ngog and Lucas again and Maxi and Meireles were consistently good again.

**** off Andy Gray. Rafa left a **** squad?? Worse than he inherited? Absolute ****ing bollocks
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Andy Gray: "Rafa Benitez inherited a much better squad than he left Roy Hodgson - THAT is an absolute certainty. And Gerard Houllier will back me up too"

What a ****ing cunting mong cunt-head of a **** he is.

I went through it today. Geds first XI was better, but the squad Rafa left was stronger. But it was close on both counts. Either way, it was and is not as conclusive as Gray makes out.

I've never seen any pundit who manages to somehow hit both ends of the spectrum.

Sometimes he's very clued up. Other times, he comes out with pure cockrot like this.

I don't know why you lads just don't turn sky off after the game ends. Andy Grey was a cock last week, he's still one tonight & that won't change next week either. No point getting wound up.

Blade on channel 5 for me now.

And as for the comment of course Houllier would back that up
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Why does Roy give these Pre match/Post Match interviews so directly..?

Surely someone must be there to advise him..

It's always open season when he goes in front of the cameras..

Yes villa had more possession but most of it was in their own half and without any real meaning.

No pleasing some people. Good performance tonight. Lucas, Meireles and Johnson were excellent. Nice for Gerard getting a song.

Let's build on it at Newcastle.

good result and the performance in periods was good. raul and lucas were brilliant, ngog was full of running and babel did well. i was disappointed in how deep we played and how much of the ball villa had.

again, you have to give some credit to roy because we didnt play bad and some of the interplay was excellent.

but we still need to keep the ball better and stop sitting so deep.
