    How about 433?

Mind, with Roy it will be 442. And when Gerrard comes back it will be Raul at RM if he keeps Ngog in the side.
    Forwards.......

Actually, in Roys 442, I'd have Gerrard at RM atm and I'd have Kuyt on the bench.

Maxi has done to well lately to be dropped and I rate Ngog higher than Kuyt up top.

Could play 433, but then you're sticking Benzema or Torres in a 'wide-forward' position, which doesnt suit.

I often defended him, thought he was coming on and would be a steady 4th choice CM fir us, but he's really stepped up this year beyond my expectations. Seems to have a great attitude too- rather like Ngog in that respect.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I've often slated him in the past, but he has been excellent for the last few games. Him and Raul have formed a great CM pairing.

Lucas is starting to make a habit of bossing the midfield. He was MOM again tonight. Keep it up lad.

Villa plays wide for Spain and does well enough goals wise. I think Benzema is clever enough to play that role, Torres just does the same as he has done for us in the 4231 under Rafa.

Those two and a winger and we'd be going well. Would also go well as Benzema can also play as the point striker and would do a good job there if Torres was missing.

I'd be loathe to stick Benzema wide. He's a big strong lad and a pure goalscorer - if it aint broke, etc...

I think that Raul is always looking forward and that helps the partnership come on. Also Raul doesn't overkill like Gerrard does. He will not pass it forwards if nothing is on at all.

I actually think the 4231 we used under Rafa would work now with Raul and Lucas. Especially now Maxi is finding the goals at last and Glen is starting to find his feet on the right.

Always thought Lucas would do well if he was let off the leash to be honest. Didn't see the game mind - I take it he played well?
                      Really?

He's played wide for Real and done well. He's better in the middle but he's capable of playing wide.

I think the problem uder Rafa was that we never signed a player who could play wide in the first team in the 4231, but also play centrally when Torres was out.

But I agree I suppose, if you sign a world class player like Benzema you would be best off playing him up top with Torres.

Fark me he's shining this season, definitely the present and future of Liverpool's midfield if he can keep this up for a few years. Its almost like the shackles are off when he plays with Raul.
                              One tit for another.
