If we finish 4th or win the Europa League this season, sacking Hodgson in the summer would be extremely harsh ?
Screw the UEFA cup, but if we ended up 4th, which we won't, then yes, sacking him would be harsh. I'd still be in favour of doing it, but it would be a somewhat unfair move to sack a manager that basically achieves the goal he's been set.

It's not just about finishing 4th though, the ambition and desire should always be to aim higher, always aim to be the best, be better than anyone else.
I know we're ****e and have been for a while but if we can get some decent talent in, get some decent players coming through and build a stadium then slowly we will start to resemble what this club has become and what the great managers and players of the past helped to build.

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
I think we'll finish 7th, be knocked out of the FA cup and Europa by the next round. Hopefully i'm full of **** and we'll finish higher and win a trophy.

I think that from the psoition we're in now to get 4th we'd have to have a good rest of the season.
Regardless of how we do, I feel we need a manager who will be here for the long term and I can't see Roy being that man. We need someone who can build the club up for the future, Roy can only bee a couple of years away from retiring.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Bit premature to be suggesting anything of the sort, but "if" he does both of what you say of course it would be stupid to sack him, although i think it would take minor miracles to achieve this.
The good thing about your comments are...................it aint going to happen. We will finish around 7-9th and we will go out around the 1/4 finals of the Mickey mouse cup.
I can't see him taking the club forward at all. So IF we finished 4th then he could leave with his head held very high. It would be a big achievement but he still wouldn't be the man for the job. We need someone for the long term.
Besides he could always take the credit if a decent manager wins the champions league next year.

. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
