Screw the UEFA cup, but if we ended up 4th, which we won't, then yes, sacking him would be harsh. I think that from the psoition we're in now to get 4th we'd have to have a good rest of the season.
Regardless of how we do, I feel we need a manager who will be here for the long term and I can't see Roy being that man. We need someone who can build the club up for the future, Roy can only bee a couple of years away from retiring.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

I can't see him taking the club forward at all. So IF we finished 4th then he could leave with his head held very high. It would be a big achievement but he still wouldn't be the man for the job. We need someone for the long term.
Besides he could always take the credit if a decent manager wins the champions league next year.Comment
