Highlight for me was Scales rubbishing Poulsen's contribution.

Yeah that wasn't bad. Scales on the whole though had an absolute nightmare. He's the worst co-commentator I've ever heard. Obviously employed cos he has a nice accent, but dear me he's atrocious.

from lfc website when we signed him

Poulsen is known as a no-nonsense midfielder - but the man himself is keen to stress that he's more than just an enforcer.

He said: "I like also to play technical football. I see myself as a player who tries to play football but I can also make a tackle.

haha both commentators were awful - the highlight being, when they returned half time break, and reported on van wolfmanswinkles need for morphine after his broken collarbone, they said they needed some as well

            As misguided as his manager.

Think he might have sneaked a look at a few Liverpool forums.

Martin Samuel too for that matter.

Unless you're referring to something else, that last posted article isn't one of Samuel's.

I meant the Samuel article posted in the other thread.

Seems an odd coincidence that face rubbing has started to appear in the media.

                      Apologies. Haven't seen it.

                      edit - where is it?

It was a true horror show that bit.

Horrible to watch and frankly embarrassing that this chump cost us £5m and is probably on £50k a week.

                            On the subject of Poulsen

                            8. Christian Poulsen (Denmark): At the beginning of the season he was unwanted at Juventus, who had signed the Brazilian international Felipe Melo for 20m euros to take his place.

Despite this replacement signing, Poulsen started Juve’s league campaign and was an important figure for them up until the time he broke his leg. Now fully recovered, I expect him to shoulder responsibility for Denmark’s midfield where as a holding player he not only reads the game but also provides the tackles, the passing and the example to team-mates that coach Morten Olsson depends upon. He’s relied upon heavily to dictate the style of play. Denmark could surprise a few people.

This from Hodgson in the summer, who named Poulsen one of his players to watch at the 2010 world cup

to be fair to Poulsen though everybody is playing a few levels below their best for Hodgson....... So he has gone from Poor to Piss poor.
