I dont think rafa is arsed in the slightest about being sacked.

Do you want Rafa back?

The whole Rafa thing will go away by itself as soon as the owners can find a way to sort this mess out. Until then, I'm afraid, we'll be discussing about the merits (or not) of Benitez for a long time, it's inevitable. Then he left the door ajar when he left, saying he'll be back, the *******.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostIf that's true then by the same standards Roy's appauling time in charge so far isn't totally his fault either.......
Look, I can produce posts going back years on this place from me in support of Rafa, and I meant every one of them, so I don't want or mean to sound like someone who didn't like the guy or support him when he was in charge. However some of the revisionist nonsense I read about him now in threads like this is easily as bad as some of the unnescessary bashing of him that went on back then, and ultimately I'm just sick and tired of the whole thing.
There was already a thread covering this.Originally posted by PoolG View Post
it would be a different story if we were voting on who we would actually want as manager rather than do we or do we not want Rafa back.Last edited by Fredo; 21-12-10, 09:54 PM.Are we winning?

Very valid point. Hopefully he'll suggest this to Henry to strengthen his case.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostIf we were to bring him back as manager would it be cheeky of us to ask him to repay some or all of the monies he was paid when he was fired during the summer? Are we winning?

Wildly hyperthetical, but I think a better solution would be to have a contract with something like a 2 or 3 month termination clause, rather than having to pay up for the whole length.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostIf we were to bring him back as manager would it be cheeky of us to ask him to repay some or all of the monies he was paid when he was fired during the summer?

Maybe he'll retire on his severance earnings this year.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostWell the fact that the girls have enrolled back into their schools shows he is in England for the long term. If Rafa is available then he should be offered the job, he has unfinished business with us.
We should all know how he was fighting for the club when we were owned by the two charlies, not only was he cash strapped but out right lied to the same as the rest of us.
I remember the bad days (which is every week with the dodgeson) .. but rafa made us great. We were feared by everyone and played some great football yeah he did over think a few games but on the whole his record with us was good. I am sure with the right backing Rafa would take us back to the top .. no doubt about it.
Purslow was a complete tool getting rid of .. nuff said
Get him back 100%
