Rafa just ticks all the boxes for me. He fights our corner, knows our history and culture of the city (which is rare coming from a foreigner) and is one of the very best managers around. He's very demanding but hey, if it's for the good of the club it can only be a good thing. We should be starting a campaign to have him back.

Rafa back at the club would mean some very tough decisions would lie ahead but he's up there as one of the best manager's around, sadly the current bloke in charge isn't fit to shine his shoes.
My concern would be that Rafa wouldn't get a honeymoon period like a fresh, up and coming manager would.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Yes because he has unfinished business.
Yes because he knows this club inside out, he knows what LFC stands for.
Yes because he hates Fergie and finally because he is one of us.Last edited by Slinky Skills; 21-12-10, 03:25 PM.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Do you really think he divided the team? A lot of rumours were purported around but there's not been clear evidence of this. I do believe that one or two players were influential in getting him out, but I'm not sure that could be compared to a division of sorts.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postno. not good enough before and not good enough now. he would divide the team again IMO.Are we winning?

**** No. Roy is a terrible manager but thats no basis for getting Rafa back, he done his time. The guy causes a massive divide again amongst players and fans IMO and not a chance of the owners bringing back a guy that is notorious for throwing the toys out of the pram if he doesn't get his own way. Same thing happening at Inter now. We need unity at the club. The fact that Roy is such a disaster will be many people basis to vote yes i'd imagine.
Good manager and best of luck to him elsewhere. No surprise it was nigel who starting this thread

theres no clear evidence surrounding the majority of rafa's tenurte at the club but IMO there is no smoke without fire.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostDo you really think he divided the team? the decision to publicly "pimp" alonso out on the transfer market would defo IMO have had a negative reaction on the players. so would some of his tactical decisions and substitutions. it is again rumours, but if torres, gerard, carra were all against him then right there you have a split because along with alonso and reina, these were / are the most influencial people at the club - on the playing side. i would rather have the influence of carra at the club than rafa - although it is not being questioned who loves the club more as it is obvious both have great affection for LFC.
i am taking the same stance i have taken with lucas on this matter. i dont want rafa back because IMO he isnt the right man for the job as i beleive his performances as manager before have shown. HOWEVER, if he were to come back i would support him. but he wouyld have a **** load to do to convince me ( just like lucas has )People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

On balance, no..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
