Past couple of years flatters them greatly. It's six years since they won anything - a year longer than us. They've also finished behind us three times in the past five years too, so they're scarcely a good example of success in recent times

Historically speaking, it makes a marked contrast to their foreign policy.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

if rafa were to come back, his first job would have to be to bomb out those 2 cunts that got him sacked in the first place - Gerrard and Carragher......

Many people forget how Dalglish adopted weird tactics as time went on. He took Molby out of the midfield and played him as a sweeper behind the CBs in a five-man defence, mainly in away games. It immediately conceded the midfield to the opposition and invited pressure from the first whistle. Watching Hodgson getting everyone to sit tight and let the opposition, like mighty Blackpool, outpass us reminds me very much of that bizarre Dalglish tactic

They play a classic 4-2-3-1 formation, as do Spain. All teams try to play well on the counter-attack. It's something to applaud, not criticise. Man U do it, Chelsea do it, Arsenal do it too. We did it very well under Benitez. To be dangerous on the counter-attack is an attribute of all good teams

Rafa would want total control but IF he was to get the job back (and again I think it is hugely unlikely) he would have to give some concessions

Cant see him coming back on the same terms he had when he was sacked

NESV wouldnt allow that and I seriously doubt Rafa would expect that

Lets face it the ball is well and truely in NESV's court regarding any negotiations
