That's a great interview, with some top questions from the studio and excellent answers by Rafa too fair play.

I would love to see Rafa back. I would be overjoyed. However, I don't see the owners taking that risk when you consider how Rafa's tenure ended at the last 3 clubs he's managed. I suspect a few of the players wouldn't want to see him back either especially so soon. I don't particularly have hight hopes for Comoli thus I don't see him and Rafa working well. There is just no way Rafa would be offered the same terms he had when he signed his new contract. nesv won't give him that much control and I doubt Rafa would be entirely happy with some of nesv's the conditions nesv impose. It's just too soon.imo.

The bit where he says "Salsiccia e Piegatrice" would be a good choice for LFC club -

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Officially gone after 6 months, they don't mess around over in Serie A with managers.

Yes. Despite being a polyglot, I haven't mastered Italian yet.

                          god i hate the media

pretty much like us here, or every other forum - everyone is talking about rafa and liverpool.

Talksport did a poll this morning "would LFC fans take rafa back" - it was something like 65% saying yes. - tho they had a lot of emails saying, "i've said no...tho if it was a straight choice between rafa or roy i'd choose rafa."

then - just been on lunch and it was two different presenters...and they have pretty much just said..."well if benitez leaving inter there has been a lot of talk, but to be honest not much talk in favour of bringing benitez back to liverpool...people we have spoken to like...er...John Bishop, aren't in favour of it. So i can't see it happening" - the other then went on about how he "just.....doesn't like benitez, not sure why, just don't like the look of him" - and because he doesn't like the look of him, they then slagged him off saying he has been a failure everywhere he has been

You can take the Gerrard to Chelsea situation after we won the CL when it was more important to Parry to go on holiday than to do his job and offer Gerrard a new deal. The incompetence showed by Parry almost cost us Gerrard.

that's not the point! i'll one more time.
club internals should stay internal. a manager speaking out publicly against his employers not only causes unneccessary media attention and rifts amongst players and supporters, it will always backfire against him. they won't bow to his demands because they'd lose face. and as in rafa's case, if performances are far from perfect they've got all they need to sack him.
now tell me, who does benefit from this situation? why not stay on, toe the line in public and try your utmost to chance things internally?

There are situations where going public might be to the club's advantage, as you see it.

What do you do if you feel you can't change things internally?
