Do you want Rafa back?

Everyone knows that Rafa is stubborn. People were calling for him to change his philosophy of not losing first but he never did. I like him especially when he pisses off purple cunt but He isn't the man to take us forward.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostI voted Rafa despite some misgivings. Simply put, some one as passionate and as hard working as him cannot get the same things wrong forever. Roy is happy to tell the world how he has been getting it wrong for 30-odd years, because he's a simple minded fool who doesn't understand what winning really means. He has no other obsession than himself. Rafa we know is obsessed with football. Add to that the fact that he clearly loves Liverpool and the answer is as plain as the nose on your face.

I suppose you have to ask yourself the question as to whether you think Rafa wants to play that sort of footbal or felt he had to in order to get results? I think the answer is plainly the latter. He loves football, he doesn't love it because **** tactics can make it dull, does he?Originally posted by Jack D Rips View PostA lot of people seem to have wiped the memory of last season from their minds. Boring ****e football is what we played. Ok maybe it was boring and ****e further up the pitch but it was still boring and ****e.Really?

He'd take us forward from our current situation, but I agree that he isn't the answer unless we can't attract the better options.Originally posted by Robbie-fowler999 View PostEveryone knows that Rafa is stubborn. Yeah he's stubborn. At the risk of sounding like a Rafa-man (i'm slightly erring to him, but not convinced), he's hardly going to be stubborn to the point where he's losing games and playing **** football is he? of course he will change his mind. The only thing about him I am convinced of is that he loves winning and loves football. If he had the option of playing and winning like Barca he would, and I think he has the intellect to deliver that in the right circumstances. Hodgson might want it, but could only dream of it and would never rightfully aspire to it.Originally posted by Robbie-fowler999 View PostEveryone knows that Rafa is stubborn. He's also inherently a cautious manager. Too often Benitez sides over the years set out not to lose a game even when they were superior to the opposition.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostI suppose you have to ask yourself the question as to whether you think Rafa wants to play that sort of footbal or felt he had to in order to get results? I think that's exactly what he was pretty fairly accused of at times.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostYeah he's stubborn. Yep, understood. I'm just wondering whether that was the case because he didn't feel utterly confident in his team's attacking ability (to cover defence as well). If he felt confident about his team's ability to cover their arse whilst attacking I am sure he would put put a very attacking team. I suppose the question is whether such a team is actually just a fantasy.Originally posted by The Erectile Banana View PostHe's also inherently a cautious manager. I don't really get your point, I'm sorry. You're accusing a genuine football fan of wanting to play **** football and lose games at the same time. No football fan chooses either - I guess really you must be saying that he is too daft to realise he is doing it. Fair enough if you believe that, but I don't. I don't disagree that the football was dire - I just don't believe he wanted it to be that way.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI think that's exactly what e was pretty fairly accused of at times.Really?
