Historically speaking, it makes a marked contrast to their foreign policy.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostAlthough Germany are I would say. They're a counter attacking team. As an aside..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Many people forget how Dalglish adopted weird tactics as time went on. He took Molby out of the midfield and played him as a sweeper behind the CBs in a five-man defence, mainly in away games. It immediately conceded the midfield to the opposition and invited pressure from the first whistle. Watching Hodgson getting everyone to sit tight and let the opposition, like mighty Blackpool, outpass us reminds me very much of that bizarre Dalglish tacticOriginally posted by ashey View PostWe only played free flowing attacking football for 3 or 4 years under Kenny. The rest was similar to the way we played under Rafa in the last 3rd of the 08/09 season.

Well one of them wouldnt be missedOriginally posted by frank the tank View Postif rafa were to come back, his first job would have to be to bomb out those 2 cunts that got him sacked in the first place - Gerrard and Carragher......Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

They play a classic 4-2-3-1 formation, as do Spain. All teams try to play well on the counter-attack. It's something to applaud, not criticise. Man U do it, Chelsea do it, Arsenal do it too. We did it very well under Benitez. To be dangerous on the counter-attack is an attribute of all good teamsOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostAlthough Germany are I would say. Rafa would want total control but IF he was to get the job back (and again I think it is hugely unlikely) he would have to give some concessionsOriginally posted by frank the tank View Postthen total control..........FACT
Cant see him coming back on the same terms he had when he was sacked
NESV wouldnt allow that and I seriously doubt Rafa would expect that
Lets face it the ball is well and truely in NESV's court regarding any negotiationsBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
