i could understand why we went for hodgeson as a steady hand sort of thing.

however he has brought all of his weaknesses to us and none of the things he is supposed to be ok at. Note i didnt say good.

      man mangement - poor
shape of the team - piss poor

      etc etc etc

I couldn't understand why we went for him, his record over his career in England, and over his whole career for that matter is average. I guess that the owners/Purslow bought into the media hype.

People say he's a good man manager or he gets the best out of players available to him or he's good at working on a budget I'm yet to see any evidence here that any of this is true. I can't think of a single aspect of the team/club/performances that is better this year than last, in fact I would say everything has got worse!

I know you're not defending him so this isn't aimed at you what you say is true, just thinking about him as our manager makes me angry
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

          i overestimated him i think.

i just thought he would be safe. i dont remember wanting him but i thought the very least he would achieve would to be safe.

ah optimism what happened to it.

I'm not sure I ever over estimated him as a manager but i certainly didn't foresee him being so hard to take in interviews. In fact the way he has managed to keep popular with those outside the club who criticise us is quite galling.

What was it Kenny said over the summer? Something like 'you are either inside pissing out, or outside pisssing in'. I can only assume Roy is pissing into the wind.

Before he took over us I thought he was a nice guy, I guess it's the pressure but we're seeing him come across more and more nasty.

Possibly, but (I think Neil Young has talked about this before) I also think there is an element of how differently we percieve our own club to the way we do others. I mean that in a general sense of any fan with their team.

We are a team that expects success, some others are happy with decent football, a sense of pride in the team etc. It makes you wonder whether we have perhaps been unfair on other teams supporters in the past when they have called for the head of a manager we see as doing fairly well.

Roy doesn't fit our club. His level of ability is only really part of the problem.

I'm not sure he is nasty so much as insecure and prone to talking too much (and arguably too honestly).

I really hate the way Hodgson tries to deflect responsibility and constantly tries to defend himself and his reputation. That article cannot be good for Joe's confidence in my opinion. Our club is still a mess until the day Roy leaves.

It's everyone's fault but his (in his eyes) Rafa left him a **** squad, Purslow signed players/tried selling players, didn't get enough money to spend etc etc
                      We come not to play.

Unless Chris is a psychopath, I don't suppose he really wants Hodgson to die. I imagine it's just a mark of his frustration and loathing of a man that seemingly all of us want gone from the club.

It would have been better if he had expressed himself differently and I agree it's not something I'd want to hear repeated at matches but it's probably only an example of an OTT comment on an internet forum - hardly unusual.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Forgetting Roy flapping his yap, Cole has been atrocious this season regardless of position or tactics. I genuinely feel sorry for the guy, from the very first game against Arsenal getting sent off, it has just gone from bad to worse, injuries and non entity performances.

He is a very talented footballer that is just horribly out of form, i don't think Roy's tactics suit Cole anyways and maybe he would flourish under different management but Cole really needs to knuckle down and improve, could be a vital player for us in the second half of the season.
