Given he got sacked by them and is corrupt I'd guess probably not. Another ****e comparison.

The Atkinson comment was tongue in cheek but regardless...
Bringing in Dalglish based on past glories is just plain stupid..

That would be the reverse of our situation. Under Graham Arsenal coined the phrases "one nil, to the arsenal" and "boring, boring arsenal". Going from the attacking Wenger to the defensive Graham would not entertain the fans.

Under Hodgson, especially away, we sit too deep and fail to attack. Dalglish is a coach who employs an attacking and entertaining mind set. This is what the fans want to see. We were 10k fans short of a full house v Bolton. It's clear what the fans think.

Football is an entertainment business. When the fans want entertaining that's what you give them. Otherwise it hits you in the pocket. Many a chairman has to balance the two of results and entertainment. In past seasons few managers (especially lower tier teams) could guarantee both. Only this season has seen quite a switch with the likes of WBA, Bolton and Blackpool to name but three who are passing the ball on the deck and keeping the fans happy with top football AND results.

It's likely this trend that has cut Roy off tbh. There's no fun in being played off the park at Anfield by the likes of Blackpool, West Brom and Wolves. It should be us dominating and them getting undeserved winners as opposed to us thanking our lucky stars for a win over West Brom.

That's pretty much why Roy has to go, among many other reasons. So why Dalglish?

Well he's the best msn available, if you take into consideration the new manager is not available until the summer. He costs nothing extra, though I should imagine there'll be a few bonuses thrown his way for the extra work.

He gets the club. He commands respect. He plays football the right way. He is loved by the fans. Anfield will be a full house when he's in charge.

We're going nowhere under Roy. If we go nowhere under Kenny at least we'll be entertained along the way.
                Forwards.......

We love Dalglish and Dalglish loves LFC, of course it'll work, why wouldn't it...

                    I know you're being sarcastic

There's never any guarantees but of the realistic options, Rafa aside, i dont think there's any better option that comes to mind.

The prospect of Hodgson being better than....well, frankly anyone....is absurd to me.

                      I understand what you're saying..

I'm not against Dalglish coming in to steady the ship for a few weeks but I'd like to think there was someone lined up ready to come in should the situation arise..

i.e. experienced current manager who will be available but not right away due to contract issues etc..

I guess if Roy goes, then Sammy must follow?

                      Comment

Dunno about Sammy. Rafa went and Sammy stayed.

Spose it'd be upto Kenny. He might fancy Thommo.

As for coming in to steady the ship - i think it'd be until the end of the season.

The worry for NESV IMO - and the sole reason they hadnt already done this, is that they'd find it nigh-on impossible to remove Kenny if he does well. But now things have reached desperation levels, Roy simply has to go.

It's simple to remove Kenny. Make it crystal clear that he is here until the summer and that's it. After that he stands aside but is available on an advisory role to the young hot shot being brought in.

Mention they want a 15+ year dynasty being built with a young manager and Kenny due to his age doesn't fit the bill. I think people would accept that.

It's almost fairytale. We slumped when he left before, now he comes back and awakens us from our slumber and we start a new age. Love it

Yeah, they would have to virtually tattoo it onto Kenny face that he was only here as temp manager

But danny, you know as well as i do, that if kenny comes in and we have an excellent 2nd half to the season, the clamour for him to keep the role, will be immense.

I think NESV have proved they can handle fan demands. There only giving us what we Want no because Hodgsons basically shot himself in the foot in almost machine gun like fashion.

Not saying they wouldnt do it - but it'll be a massive decision and you'd normally seek to avoid such a scenario, if possible.

                                Roy's making it impossible
