He's never stayed at a club at the top level for longer than 2 years.Originally posted by Resu View PostHe left when they sold Gustavo to Bayern. Apperently it wasn`t the first time he`d had a clash with the owner over money.
He`s 52, and hasn`t got the greatest record, so I\dont konw if he`s the right person for LFC.
His three jobs before Hoff were Stuttgart, Hanover, and Schalke. They all sacked him very quickly.
I see nothing in his CV at all to suggest anything decent about him.
I'll be GUTTED if we go for him.

If I'm honest I'm quite intrigued by what I've read about him over the last couple of days, I quite like the sound of him. At the very least we'd play good football.Originally posted by alunevans View PostHe's never stayed at a club at the top level for longer than 2 years.

Unconvinced. If he was that good he wouldn't keep on getting sacked. He's done nothing in the game. Nothing.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostIf I'm honest I'm quite intrigued by what I've read about him over the last couple of days, I quite like the sound of him. He's older than Rafa and has a worse CV.
By the way, I'm a Rafa-skeptic so am not saying that because of some obsessive love with Rafa, but Rafa's credentials crap all over this fella.

To be fair, Rafa has been sacked a fair few times in his career, he hadn't done a lot until his breakout success at Valencia.Originally posted by alunevans View PostUnconvinced. If he was that good he wouldn't keep on getting sacked. He's done nothing in the game. Nothing.

Rangnick did a tremendous job at Hoffenheim, it could be argued that is his breakout success.
I just don't want a negative vibe about Rangnick to start to build up, as I think there is a pretty good chance that he could be our man when all is said and done.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

If we sign him up then it isn't because he would be a better choice than Rafa. It would be because of politics, nothing else.Originally posted by alunevans View PostUnconvinced. If he was that good he wouldn't keep on getting sacked. He's done nothing in the game. Nothing.

Rafa is a better choice 24/7.
I will be pissed off if we don't sign a top class manager with Rafa available because that would point to that player power and politics decided it and that is just not on.Last edited by Arn; 03-01-11, 01:46 PM.Stop the cyberhate

But he probably would be a better choice than Rafa, who has arguably ultimately failed in his last 2 jobs and on top of that, has a negative history with a number of the squad.Originally posted by Arn View PostIf we sign him up then it isn't because he would be a better choice than Rafa. Rangnick has been a huge success in his last job and his Hoffenheim team have played some fantastic football whilst making the most of young players coming up through the ranks.
He's not my first choice by any means but I can see the logic behind appointing him.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

Rangnick who the ****? If we go for someone in his 50's then he must be a proven winning manager. Id much rather bring in a much younger modern coach
