Even the squirrel wont get us relegated, this season is a write off anyway, so really its not as urgent as many of you are making out.
In fairness mate if you think thats the only issue here you are vastly underestimating the damage that is being done by one man.
Either you are Tom Werner or you have been smoking too much dope.

Someone has suggested on RAWK that this is the reason they are ditheringOriginally posted by Rich View PostI believe NESV realise that the summer is when they can get the long term bloke they want as manager and that they were happy to accept this season as a write-off, unfortunately Hodgson cannot even guarantee a mid-table finish so IMO we're approaching the point when the owners will hit the panic button. The issue is who will take charge of the team? And what implications will this have longer term?
Imagine a scenario where Kenny is drafted in as caretaker and suddenly we charge up the league and do very well, come the summer he steps aside and the new bloke takes over. We have a few months of problems on the pitch and then what? No doubt the worry is that the crowd will call for Kenny again... but we're getting nowhere now as it's short termism at its worst.
Kenny is the ideal candidate but if he does well as you said he'd be harder to shift than Roy
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind Roy needs removing but there is also no doubt that their main target is not available until the summer so they need a caretaker but one that they can remove without any backlash from the fans (in the event of the caretaker doing well)
Equally the same would apply to the highly unlikely appointment of Rafa to a caretaker role
The only solution would be somebody like Phil Thompson with Kenny taking a peripheral/support roleBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

i've thought the same to be honest.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIf Rafa or King Kenny were appointed short term, and did really well and wanted to continue why not let them?
people seem to be saying "but if kenny was in charge and was doing brilliantly it'd be a disaster."
can't make sense of that line of argument myself.

Every point is counting now and I think it's folly to view us as unrelegationable, Leeds went down, Blackburn did as well and Newcastle we can go down just like anyother mismanaged team.

My guess is the owners are willing to let this season pass, as long as we don`t get relegated. There are bigger issues to solve, as they see it. The stadium needs to get sorted, they need to set the non-sporting organization.
The fans will still there next season, so they`ll spend the next months getting the organization the way they want it. If this is done the club will make loads of cash as soon as the teams starts to perform.
There will be a shortlist of managers they want take the club forward. Unless one of these comes available now they`ll probably keep Hodgson for the rest of the season. They could, of course appoint a short term manager, but who competent would want that job? Kenny maybe, or Sammy Lee? There isn`t much point in appointing someone from outside the club now, if a new permanent manger comes in during the summer.
Hodgson is way out of his debt, but IMO there is no point in panic now and appoint someone else just to get rid of Hodgson.
The next manager has to be right one, and finding that one will take time.Blank

Good point about the stadium..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Not one of those games is a banker. I reckon they need to replace him now with an official caretaker like Thommo if he would be available for it.Originally posted by alunevans View PostWhich of the following 6 games do you think are Liverpool bankers?
Liverpool v Bolton
Blackburn v Liverpool
Man U v Liverpool
Blackpool v Liverpool
Liverpool v Everton
Wolves v Liverpool
Are any of those games ones you feel with confidence that we will win?* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

The two home games v Bolton and Everton are not bankers in my view, and the four away games just for the fact that it's Hodgon and his away record means they're not bankers, no matter who, so I'd agree. Not one in there that you'd think "well thats 3 points in the bag."
I wouldn't dare take a guess at how many points we're likely to get from those 5 league matches.
But I'd guess at about 5 or 6. (daring!!)

The Wolves home game should have been a banker, having lost that game, none of those games is a banker (for us)Originally posted by alunevans View PostWhich of the following 6 games do you think are Liverpool bankers?
